@miyuki993 and @happymess thanks guys. I'm gonna hold off until next week then :) I actually came across a photo of JH on Tumblr by accident that I think is the last scene of the drama. So whatever was on his face...I hope it's not what I think it is. But I don't know what it's about anyway since I quickly closed Tumblr right after. So safe to say...I'm quite scared to know haha. Just gonna stay in my happy space and keep myself distracted commenting here and at DB ep 15 :) Mind you, I have so many comments to reply here so I'm getting to it slowly :D
Thanks, yep I've learnt the same thing over time too and I also didn't want to waste my time watching a drama that I would cringe either since I'm so busy with life, its sometimes hard to spare time to watch everything. But when I do watch, I always watch it from an objective point of view and try too see for myself why classics are so well loved. Thanks again @KoriNeko18 :)

@Kadiance omg I thought the same thing too! I never liked the Twilight movies since they were too cheesy for my liking but when reading the books I was always more intrigue about Carlisle's story. I remember wishing back then that there should be a book for Carlisle instead of Edward/Bella...I guess my wish kinda came true then LOL. And AJH as main lead at that (yay!) - I hope he does well for this drama. And I hope this drama doesn't disappoint me plotwise/character development.
This is a great drama and kudos to the writer for bringing us such an excellent story. I just recently marathoned…
Exactly, thanks @Annabelle and @Patketina :) I agree, and like you said they are all just TV shows for entertainment. Whether you like it or not, that is up to you, there's no need for hate. I also came here to read recommendations and comments and majority of the time, my decision to watch certain dramas comes from hearing what others say about the drama from not only recs but comments too. I've been fans from other dramas before and when people compare and recommend a drama through my favourite drama's page, I'm usually thankful and glad they're mentioning another drama that could be of my interest. So these comments are always welcomed - that is what this site is for. So if you change your mind about wanting to give Healer a go, then we'll be happy to hear your thoughts. After all, as Annabelle puts it, good things are meant to shared and loved by everyone :D
Okay...for the first time I hope I have the willpower to hold off watching episode 16 until next week. Such a dilemma haha - should I watch or not watch? Those who've seen episode 16, what are your thoughts...do you think this cliffhanger is anything like episode 12's?
healer is 5th on the top rated show list! wohooo lets bring it up to 1st!!!
Haha I know what you mean, I used to be the same too when I was younger (in my teen years) - when I'm annoyed or someone was hating on my comment I used burst all my hatred too and fire back negative comments and had to apologise. But that was years ago and I have learnt over time that if you put yourself in another person's shoe, and ask yourself why they're like that, then you come understand their point more. You view things through their lens :) from there, it's easier to get your point across in a matured way and you can easily get them to understand you. I'm in my mid twenties now and my profession is working with patients so I've learnt all these through my life experiences. I also agree with you, I get annoyed with plenty of things but never with a person who has a good spirit. And it's always a pleasure to meet another person who share the same views as you. If I'm not on the same level as that crowd, I retreat too and don't butt in so that they can enjoy their shared interests together :)
@cats I find it way better than Pinocchio. And not by any means similar much anyway. The only similarities is that the female lead is a reporter but story wise it is very different. The romance is on another level too so I think you would probably love this. Just get through the first episode since it may be confusing at first with a lot of background and character introductions but first episode is vital to the rest of the drama. I got hooked on the second episode onwards :)

Exactly @Patketina, that's the one thing I hate the most and it always make me feel like giving these people a good lecture haha (if you saw my long reply over at Pinocchio, you'd know what I mean) lol
Ok, that's it! I'm starting it!!!! JCW and YJT here I come ♥♥♥
Haha I'm the same as @rainecat too, I kept checking if you're caught up with us as well since I love seeing how others enjoy the same dramas that I do too. Same here my Facebook is ignoring me too, most of NY friends aren't that into kdramas haha...oh well their loss :p hence I like hanging around here and dramabeans too :) and yay! Ep 15 is just full of goodness in the first 10 minutes! :)
I first saw LYB in Gu Family Book and didn't thought much of her until her role in Pinocchio. I just love her character there so much that it made realised what an incredible actor she is. Her character in Pinocchio is so so cute!

That's true, although haters would give it a low score what matters is the vast majority of audience liking this drama. Since it's the same case with I Hear Your Voice. There's like 10200 users rating that drama, and out of those many people 117 gave it a 1/10. And that I'm itself only accounts for 1% and the drama is still very much #1 for Korean drama. So I don't really care for haters, they have their own opinion and sometimes it's a little tiring having to explain to haters why they shouldn't just drop or drama or give it low ratings just because they feel annoyed etc. Same thing happened with Pinocchio over at the comment section. Anyway what matters is the quality of the drama and quantity of people enjoying the drama since that alone speaks volumes in terms of ratings. :)

Wow it really does remind me of Twilight! Except I didn't like the Twilight movies so I'm hoping that this is better than Twilight :) but then again, anything would still be a better love story than Twilight for me haha. I love the main lead - AJH so I hope this is his drama to shine :)
This is a great drama and kudos to the writer for bringing us such an excellent story. I just recently marathoned…
Also @aaarie19, I don't see it as such a bad thing that a lot of people are talking about the dramas they like. They just want to pass on and share the excitement, and I'm sure that's what @Patketina was trying to express above as well. I've come across this hundreds of time in all my years of watching kdramas and it's through word-of-mouth that introduced me to a lot of great dramas - it happens all the time. Rather than being tired/annoyed by it, I always look at it with an open mind. It was thanks to people talking about Healer on Pinocchio's comments section at Dramabeans that I decided to give Healer a go and I'm very thankful to those people for introducing me to it. While saying that, I do understand your view completely and know that it can be annoying/tiring at times but sometimes you just have to question why there’s all this hype in the first place? A valuable lesson I learnt in life is to never judge anything before you see it for yourself and to not let your emotions (e.g. annoyance) cloud your judgements. Take it as a personal drama-related experience from me – I’m currently watching Misaeng due to all the hype and high ratings. Although I have watched more than halfway of the drama, it was not my cup-of-tea but I’m still planning on finishing the whole drama. Why did I use this as an example? Well even if it’s not my type of drama, it’s still going to get a 9/10 rating from me. I still find enjoyment out of it by viewing the story from an objective point of view. The story itself is nothing special since it’s a drama about ordinary life (hence I was kinda bored), but viewing it objectively allowed me to understand and appreciate why so many loved this drama. The beauty of it is that it hits home for a lot of us and we feel as if we’re going on a journey with them the whole way, so every small amount of success feels like an accomplishment to us.
As for Pinocchio, you can obviously see that I rated it as a 10/10 because I really enjoyed the story and OTP. What Pinocchio gave me was a solid plot and heart-warming family love – it gave me warm fuzzy feelings. The OTP’s was love warm to me, but their chemistry/romance wasn’t as “sizzling” or so to speak since they both grew up together as a family – in very much the same way siblings. So I don’t get as many ‘feels’ from watching them as I do for Healer. Healer, on the other hand, also gave me a solid plot and an incredibly epic romance. The OTP in Healer was destined to be together since they knew each other from childhood, however, they did not grow up together. They met by coincidence again as strangers with no memories of each other. So what you experience is quite a romantic first love story. Hence why for me, I find it has more feels to it and the romance is just sizzling lol. So going back to enjoyment, for me Pinocchio is warm and fuzzy family love, while Healer is an epic hot romance (I won’t say more since I don’t wanna spoil for others). Plus my comparison here is only just the romance aspect of it, there is of course much more than romance and I could go on with another lengthy reason about the plot/action/mystery etc.
Sorry if this may seem long to read, but I just wanted to let you know my thoughts on this. And as an advice, sometimes it’s just better to get off the dance floor and go on the balcony to view things from the top. That is when you would gain a fresh perspective on things and you’d come to understand and appreciate why certain dramas are loved by many others – same advice goes for life I suppose :) So my point is, it would be a pity for you to suddenly drop a drama out of mere annoyance at other fans. You won’t know what you are missing out, so I hope that helps you decide – and of course no one is forcing you to watch a drama, it is at the end of the day your decision :) Sometimes it's a blessing that fans spread word of their much loved drama because, you never know, you may end up just loving a lot too ;) this website of course is a place where we all share our thoughts, ideas, and love of dramas to each other. So what do you say, let's all get along and appreciate each other's thoughts yeah? :) Hope that what I said opened your eyes a bit in terms of dramas and even actors for that matter.
I just can't believe how this drama gets better and better every episode...15 was just amazingly satisfying to…
@helkwo nope I haven't seen Sandglass yet but I heard it's good. It seems like a fairly old drama, but thanks for the recommendation, it's definitely going on my to-watch list now :)

Yay let's raise it to the top! Well for me I always rate a drama earlier on but my ratings always changes as the drama progresses. So if I rate a drama 10 and later on it gets bad, I drop my ratings as I go along. So far for me Healer is still a number 10! I also rate each episode too as I watch :)
Here's an article about it on DB http://www.dramabeans.com/2014/11/park-hae-jin-in-the-running-to-become-a-joseon-vampire/
and on KPG http://koalasplayground.com/2014/11/03/kbs-doubles-up-on-bloodsuckers-as-park-hae-jin-in-talk-for-vampire-sageuk-drama/
