This is a great drama and kudos to the writer for bringing us such an excellent story. I just recently marathoned…
@Patketina haha no worries, I'm glad we're on the same page :D Yup I so agree, with CH we didn't get parkour scenes. Each drama is unique I suppose and I love both of them for different reasons. Where Healer lack in creativity with action scenes, it really makes up for other elements that makes the drama more complete and satisfying. I always love a drama where you get a lot of character development :)
Thanks for replying, alright I'm gonna give this drama a go since it seems to be one of the classic must-watch dramas out there :)
Haha with Coffee Prince, although the romance is good, I was really put off with the gross scenes so it affected my level of enjoyment. But even saying that, I did gave it a chance and have watched through the whole drama from beginning to end since I wanted to see objectively why it is so loved by others :)
With regards to YS's panic attack, I believe it's PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). From what I've learnt…
@risingsun, you are spot on :) and yes all those scenes that you've mentioned is why I think YS is so brave. The reason why I mentioned the elevator scene as significant is because it made her whole condition more believable. Her avoidance behaviour makes it more believable. Otherwise, if we keep seeing her going up and confronting her demons all the time while knowing that she suffers from PTSD, it wouldn't make it as believable. Just my thoughts :)
And yes, both JH and YS are made for each other and equally need each other....I can't say how much I love this OTP ♥
I just can't believe how this drama gets better and better every episode...15 was just amazingly satisfying to…
@helkwo I believe when she wrote Faith, she was actually a co-writer with another writer too. It may different with Healer, but I'm glad it's nothing like Faith. I found the plot in Faith kinda repetitive while here it's moving on at a fast pace so very refreshing to see :)

Yup @Patketina, well said :) none of us were bashing Pinocchio in any form whatsoever. Like I said both dramas are really good and love both, for me I'm finding my enjoyment level for Healer is different than that of Pinocchio. They're both enjoyable, just different type of enjoyment and that's just my personal opinion. As for Healer, reason why I said it's not completely perfection is because of the action scenes. Comparing to CH, the action scenes here (although good) wasn't as cool as CH. But everything else, I have to agree with you, it is perfect :D
he doesn't look 27 at all, i first thought he was a 90s baby <3
I thought the same too and was surprised that he's the same age as LMH and LSG, yet he looks way younger than them. Well of course he's the youngest in terms of month bring born in July while LSG (January) and LMH (June) are older...but not by much!
Whoever just changed JCW's picture, I just wanted to say I love you! Thanks for changing it. This one is a much better picture and cute smile at that too :) ♥

@Patketina Yup I agree - although Healer isn't a perfect drama, there's just something about it that made me so addicted to it. It just has so much chemistry and oomph to it and I tend to rate a drama on how I feel. PMY's character is great there. I started Healer while I was halfway through Pinocchio and was fangirling over Pinocchio before....until Healer's plot started picking up a lot. And yes the romance is perfection here for me♥
I wanted to start watching some other drama while waiting for Healer's 15th episode, but of course i ended up…
@zumzummara I feel the same as you sadly enough I couldn't find any other drama as enjoyable anymore while I'm still watching Healer. I recently marathoned the rest of Pinocchio which I thoroughly enjoyed before but I couldn't get into it as much as before. I'm now trying to catch up on 'What Happens to my Family' but finding it very slow. Yes...Healer is so good that it has ruined me for now. I guess I'm just going to put my other dramas on hold until Healer finishes but all I do these days is watch YouTube videos of scenes/JCW/interviews etc...anything related to JCW/Healer.
With regards to YS's panic attack, I believe it's PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). From what I've learnt it's something that happens after a person is exposed to an extremely traumatic event – which can be most recent events such as physical assault, car accident etc; or events that happened in the past like domestic violence/sexual assault during childhood. Usually with PTSD, people tend to avoid reminders of the trauma, including places or similar situations – just like how we see YS avoiding going on the elevator. She doesn't want to trigger her symptoms which in her case is quite severe (difficulty breathing, sweating, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, etc…needing medication for it) and avoidance is the right to do. So for those of you who who thinks that YS is like damsel-in-distress and always needing Healer to swoop in and save her – I have to disagree. She is just the opposite. She knows that her condition is debilitating but when the situation calls for it, she IS a very brave girl. She’s willing to lay her life on the line just to protect BS and that is what really attracts JH to her. She isn’t stupid and I believe she’s not your typical heroine for this matter. Because anyone who knows of her condition well would completely root for her. She’s one badass girl! And because of her condition, it makes me think she’s all the more stronger than JH – to be able to overcome her fears/demons and confront them straight on. That scene where she stepped into the elevator bravely made me love her so much. SHE IS BRAVE and to see her overcoming her anxiety (with JH next to her) made is such a significant scene, in my opinion. I really do think that the writer did a lot research into PTSD because her scenes are depicted quite accurately.
Earlier in the series I wrote a recommendation on how I thought CH and Healer have the same feel to each other…
@happymess you're Chandler from DB?? Haha hello! I didn't realised it's you and I've been going on DB quite often - although I only recently started commenting over there again from page 9 onward of ep 14. Been absent since ep 10 due to commitments with real life lol. I love reading all your analyses over there too so I always look forward to what you have to say! And @helkwo hi!!! it's so lovely to see Healer-beanies over here as well :D I wonder if anyone else here is also a Beanie too?
This is a great drama and kudos to the writer for bringing us such an excellent story. I just recently marathoned the rest of this drama and I gotta say, the ending was such a complete and satisfying one. One of my top 10 favourite dramas for sure. Maybe I'll rewatch this again once Healer finishes so I can be more into this drama. I'm too into Healer these days :D Those who are watching Healer would know what I mean ;)
Earlier in the series I wrote a recommendation on how I thought CH and Healer have the same feel to each other initially. So after watching each episode until now, I should correct myself for those who didn't like the 'vibe' in CH. Yes it may seem like they do have a similar vibe initially, but after episode 3 or more of Healer, I've come to realised that these 2 are very different dramas in their own rights. CH has great action scenes and delves more into the revenge-plot. Whereas, Healer isn't about revenge at all. More time is given into character development which makes each character much more layered. Healer has more OTP moments which makes me love and it isn't solely focused on full-on action (although I do love the action here). Similarities between these two dramas would only be the same lead actress and the action aspect, and then the story goes off differently. PMY plays a very different character between these 2 to the point where I almost didn't recognise that she's the same girl for both dramas.
There's no dragging or boring bits for both dramas - each episode constantly keep you on your toes and wanting to know what happens next. While both have serious plots there are just enough comedic and romantic elements in between them for a more enjoyable watching experience. Healer of course has more romance/OTP interaction ♥ So while I enjoyed both dramas, I thought I should clarify myself since these 2 dramas get compared to each other a lot.
