Isan Nikah - begins in NE (Khon Kaen later referenced) but seems to be predominantly somewhere in the south. I dropped around 45 mins in. So technically two regions but unless it returns to Isan that's a bit of a stretch - Eli
Note: for myself (submitted to database) - Ram Kham Khan (The Scenery of Love) - autotranslated subs - Chiang Khan (on the Mekong River, Isaan) https://mapcarta.com/Chiang_Khan/Map Thailand's Mt Fuji (Loei Province), Nan River, temple in Nan Province,
My Magic Prophecy - eps 3 - 8, Mae Hong Son Province, North, near border with Myanmar. For that amount of time I don't feel like I learned much about the area. It was mostly a very nice house and a few cliched villagers.
Big House titles, technically in an identified region but with little sense of place other than the house. I don't consider these suitable for Regions. - Eli 404 Run Run -Takua-Pa, Phang-nga Province (South) Don't Come Home The Interns - Rayong Province, but it's all in a hospital
Thun Thai is being Eng-subbed, either as they air or added approx a week later. It's an anthology series, and it might make sense to list the Thun Thai page (with the individual titles in comments) rather than each one separately. Just a way to keep them altogether and also to save scrollling since it looks like this page will be growing faster than before. Yay Thai PBS <3
Plai Chawak (Love Spice) The Summer We Met looks to be fully subbed. (This is Elisheva forgetting which account I'm logged into.)
Notes on My Husband in Law (Ch 3) - the house in Phukhet is in Bangkok for other series. i can't remember anything that was actually in Phukhet. I wouldn't count this for road trip or multiple Thai regions. They did go to Myanmar for several episodes so *partially* filmed abroad. There's only one episode which has much Myanmar culture and even then very little by way of speaking parts.
Yamada: The Samurai of Ayothaya- It is not spelled that way, but it is the old city of Ayutthaya back between…
How strong is the sense of place in these? Is it relevant to the plot? The only one I've seen so far is After Sundown, and IIRC that was mostly a big house, some sets and a bit on the river.
My thought is that members can decide for themselves if a title meets their criteria for use with a prompt. But with this particular category, we could in theory end up trying to list everything not filmed abroad! We have to figure out what to recommend here so the list stays useable. - Eli
yay - and i've only seen 54% of them so far :D :D :D
Was surprised to see how many results you get when you search for this on google. Found a whole reddit thread just about filming locations of Thai Dramas. See the link below.
would the list be easier to use sorted by original countries? have all the Taiwanese together, SK together, etc
