As I said and you ignored: this site exists precisely for people who wants to justify the reasons they like or dislike something. They come here to convince and be convinced. Look to yourself: you are justifying your reasons too, like everybody else. You are using arguments, trying to prove your point. If you really thought that we can't have any discussions here because every opinion is valid, why bother responding to me?
And we are not talking about rights. Who said we are going to send people to jail for their opinions? We are just saying that rating criterias can and should be discussed. Of course someone who down rates a gay show (that he never watched) due homophobic reasons has the right to do that. But others have the right to criticize him too and try to convince him to think differently. It is called debate.
I agree with you that this is a free space and nobody should police it. But the ironic thing is that you are trying to police people who want to discuss rating criterias. Well, nobody who wants to keep this discussion needs your approval too. At the end of the day, you are just like evereybody else here: you think you are right and try to convince others that your point is the truth. Good, this website exists precisely for this reason. So, stop asking others to avoid doing the same thing you are doing here, which is to bother with another opinion and argue about it.
Remember: discussions do not exist because people need to or do not need to justify their prerogatives. Debates happen because we live in a social world and we should discuss to live together in a proper way.
Here is the bottom line: The problem with anyone who gets upset over a drama rating is the same problem with the…
The point you are missing is: although nobody have to justify their opinions to others, people generally come to sites like this one to give their opinions and justify them. That is why there is something called "review" and other thing called rating. Trying to explain why you liked or disliked a movie or series is one of the main purposes of MDL. So, if giving opinion and ratings is one of the purposes of the website, I think it is pretty reasonable if the users try to use the website in the most proper way. Some people really down rate a series for stupid reasons. Some time ago, I found a guy here giving low rates to BL dramas only because he thinks homosexuality is wrong. I have seen a girl down rating a series because she did not want it to overtake her favorite show on the "top rated shows" list. Two days ago I talked to another girl who criticized a very good drama because the actor was ugly (according to her opinion); and her friend said that she hates all Chinese Dramas because the language is horrible. She told me that the last Chinese drama she triedto watch was droped after two episodes because she could not bear the sound of the language. Although she did not watch the full drama, she gave it a 2 rating. Well, as you said, people don't need to justify their opinions, but if they are willing to do it, I don't think it is too much to ask them to do a better job than criticizing the language spoke in the drama that they did not watch in the first place. We don't need to create a toxic environment.

Thailand is not only about BLs and Slap and Kiss series.
