Title Our Youth Spoiler
Is there just one special? Because I don't know, the special felt like it needed like one more special to finish…
I feel like there's this thing where the ed. of really good dramas like this either end on an ambiguous note or attempt to wrap things up a bit too concretely? I dunno if there's gonna be a 12th ep. but I'd like to think that the 11th gave us as an audience the space to interpret how their 'coming out' to close friends and loved ones would've gone, 'cause they've given us subtle clues- Minase attempting to reply to his mother's text about marriage, Hirukawa's consolation to Jin at the end regarding the legalisation of gay marriage, etc. I'm with you in that I'd like to see what them telling friends would've looked like, but I'm also not unhappy with where they've left off.

I appreciate Kenshin acting too. Kenshin is really mature in his job and a great actor. He has the sense of acting…
Nah, 100%- Jin just got a special mention 'cause the crew really put him through it with his storyline, but Kenshin was amazing at conveying the progression from pre-Junsei Hirukawa to post-Junsei Hirukawa. I mirror your surprise regarding the two's commitment to the drama- I mean, Kenshin's literally an idol group member so I rate the sheer amount of effort he put into Miseinen when there are tons of other actors that don't do justice to their role that are OLDER or have much more time to really give it their all.

Title Fragile Spoiler
Bit defeating how the crew started by saying this was 'SKAM Korea' like most other adaptations of SKAM but then up and said that Fragile was an 'original' work. You're not gonna lose anything from admitting that now, c'mon. Other than that, it's a pretty solid teen drama with almost the entirety of its plot being taken from the REAL original (exc. Kangsan and Chanseong's kiss).

The feels...Maaan, the feels. Sucks when a show puts two characters together, breaks them apart and then you have to wait for the final ep. to see them together again😭 Both actors' acting is so good and their face cards don't even need an explanation- special mention to my guy Junsei 'cause he really be doing the most with the (multiple) crying scenes and selling the whole 'he fell first, but HE fell harder' trope πŸ₯Ί Why're they both so pretty though?

Taming of the Shrewbut i honestly don't see what part of this drama is taming of the shrew...I LOVED ToS..
That's the closest reading I could compare it to at the top of my head XD Marx himself loved Shakespeare('s works), and Feminism as a concept was also coined post-Shakespeare, so- I could've said patriarchal, I guess? Anywho.

Yeah, I get that- maybe they will tone it down, who knows? As mentioned before, the director is partly/mainly to blame because of the approach he took with regards to Gun's character, but at the same time he's only utilising the potential Santa already possesses. That being said, you're right- I haven't seen any of Santa's other characters act the same way, so there's that too. Thanks for sharing!

Ah, typical Marxist commentary. Not that that wasn't common in Shakespeare's time- thanks for the synopsis!

Really? Thanks a bunch! I haven't actually read that play- I've read other comedies like Much Ado, MNS and Twelfth Night, but not that. Thanks again :)

Hard same with what you're saying- at the end of the day, it is who the actor's acting with, who they're directed/managed by, etc. Bad directing isn't enjoyable just as much as overly-exaggerated acting isn't. It's all in the amount of effort put into the actors as much as the project itself- GMMTV mainly has its budget going for it above anything else, unfortunately.

More like new siwaj for you
Yesss I second this motion πŸ™‹ Acting's good- I mean, Namtan's as good as always and Film specifically did major justice to her role- and the drama touches upon real-world issues. Win-win.

Valid, but I feel like there's a discrepancy between what his character was like in the novel versus bad acting, because I highly doubt that the text mentions Gun being 'overly smiley' or something along those lines. I can appreciate that none of the other characters I've seen him portray are like that, so yes, I assume this was his initiative towards demonstrating how cheerful of a character Gun is- but it is kinda excessive was my point.

So I've heard- I did try to watch My Only 12% after hearing it was a good coming-of-age, so maybe I'll go back to that. I have no doubt that anyone- any actor, that is, big or small- has potential. It's just a matter of who they're acting with, who's directing them and things like that.

Nah, I'm not referring to him and Perth together- you're right, that hasn't happened yet. But we've at least seen his interactions with Perth's character from the very first ep. to minor moments between AA's relationship arc. It's not like we haven't seen him at all, right? That's what I was referring to.
