Why ML has to be a regent here? Can't empress herself go with her child everywhere? Even in historical drama we…
Maybe he's considered the best candidate since he grew up in the palace as a prince ( and therefore a potential king ). Not really sure about that either, I hope they explain that later in the series.
the prime minister is a great choice too, why didnt she consider him for marriage? He seem to like her as well. The…
I think she sees the Prime Minister as a very close friend only and, her assistant mentioned in the first episode that politicians don't marry business people because it could be bad for their careers.
Like I mentioned earlier her view of survival is EXTREME. She's not another character in another drama so don't expect her to act like one. Also, one of the first things you'll encounter in episode 1 is that she's diagnosed with ASPD. Her lack of empathy is a token trait for someone with this diagnosis. It's however, not true that she doesn't have feelings. There have been multiple instances where her feelings have been shown to the audience (maybe you should rewatch episode 8?).
Have you considered that she sees everything she does as survival?
From the beginning she's been doing wrong, it wasn't a sudden transition. She manipulated JS as a child, blackmailed her stepmother and extorted money from the other kids so she could survive. I don't see why this is any different from what she's done before now. AJ has an extreme view of survival bc she grew up in extreme situations. She doesn't mind trampling on others if she can make it out alive bc it's what has worked for her.
It only makes sense if you love someone, you want to protect them at all costs! You want to stop them from going…
The way I see it, Junseo is guilt personified. He does NOT love Ahjin and he´s not obsessed with her either. He keeps her close bc he feels guilt towards her and her victims. The guilt is eating him up so he wants her to live a "normal" life so she doesn't hurt more people and end up hurting herself while she's at it.
He's not trying to protect her, he's trying to contain her, bc every time she hurts another person his guilt grows which, combined with her manipulative nature, has resulted in him thinking the worst of her. So when the grandma died, he immediately assumes that AJ killed her but he doesn't want to accept that he hasn't been able to stop her.
Also, he clearly doesn't have limits with innocent people. One could argue that the students she extorted money from and even Jaeho were innocent. They never did anything to her, they were just collateral damage in AJ's grand plan. If he really cared about her touching innocent people, he'd wouldn't have stood by. What JS tries to do is minimize the damage, not prevent an accident from happening entirely.
They don't love each other, they're just dependent on each other in the worst way possible
