First time seeing her in a drama and I love how she's portraying Shen Shao Guan in Yummy x3. She's is very talented! I look forward to watching more of her!
Because of how much i loved her performance in Coroner's Diary, I've started watching The Starry Love today.
Not the beginning lmao. I paused it at episode 24 or 25, after speeding through 10 episodes up until ep35. Then i said yeah I need a break from these idiots. I didn't think of the things you mentioned. I understood a lot but at some point, the characters and plot wore me out. 2ML definitely is one I could not stand from the start. ML I managed. But eventually, lying this much will only take one so far. And he also manipulated the FL. Then when it came to it, trusting the person she knew became her undoing.

I'm not watching modern dramas yet but it is on my list if and when I ever do. LoN is good, but damn both MLs are toxic lol. FL is good but can be frustrating and I've reached the breaking point. All 3 leads annoyed me so I paused and am watching other things.
Now (3 episodes later) they are selling Wei Zhao to me π . I love Wei Zhao's cleverness. He thinks so far ahead.…
I started watching the show and I'm on ep2. That SML, i kept feeling something about him so check the comments. Your journey was hilarious. Oh my gosh i had a good laugh π πππ€£π€£π€π€ππΎππΎ. This answered my question. Coz I could tell the story would try to sell him to me. He does look and sound good. But nah. Too clean! Too good. He's got this rage underneath. Like it showed briefly in ep1.

I haven't yet no. It's on my list. I like both co-stars and have seen the ML in a few dramas so I have had it saved. The reviews did put me off. But after watching Li Lan Di and realizing she was the FL I definitely got more interested in checking it out.
Majority people find S1 slightly better than S2. The second season is not bad, but it does feel like screenwriters…
The worst part is that it's not even season 1 and season 2. Everything was filmed together and the show was split into 2 parts. The production should have just done 40 episodes. They stretched things in part 2 and added unnecessary drama and ruined what part 1 set up.

I haven't watched it as I am not watching modern dramas yet. I love costume dramas, ancient historical and wuxia. I can count on one hand the Xianxia I have watched. My first was Eternal Love of Dream and I realized it would be a genre that I would not like. Especially if there are too many misunderstandings, too much angst, immaturity or childishness to a certain extent. I loved the main couple and loved the humor though. But they went through to many trials and tribulations. It wore me out. Till The End Of The Moon is one such example. I dropped it at ep32. It repeated tropes too many times and I lost my patience and couldn't deal with it any more. I loved the ML and FL. The ML was a revelation and I became a fan. The OST? It kept me in a chokehold for months. The Legend of Shen Li is the first I loved and it was amazing. The maturity suited me better. I couldn't stand the usual hypocritical immortals/deities but yeah.
Love Of The Divine Tree is one i went in because of the actor who plays the ML, and the FL blew me away. I also don't know why but I loved it. Even though we had the trials and tribulations and misunderstandings. I know right? There was something that worked and their relationship, dynamic and chemistry pulled me in. The story and cast, the visuals, the costumes and the ML's gorgeousness and beautiful hair LMAO... I don't know but yeah lol. Pleasant surprise. And the ending was awesome and wholesome.

Two years old post I know, but I finished The Starry Love and it surprised me how much I loved it. The comment below made me snort and laugh because my eyes are still puffy and red. I laughed, cried, sobbed and smile so hard and fell in love, and yes, we ended up with a tree! π€―π€£πππ€£π€£π€£π€£π π π . I get the ending, but after A Moment But Forever when we never got the reincarnation reunion at the end, to see a similar finish here too was really deflating. This is why I can never give a 10 lol.
I don't like Xianxia, but The Starry Love gave me a different flavor in the genre and I loved how delicious it tasted. All thanks to Li Lan Di from Coroner's Diary who made me want to watch more of her work, and blew me away in The Starry Love as Li Guang Ye Tan too. I discovered Chen Xing Xu and what a revelation he was! Their chemistry was sooooo good!!! Shame he doesn't do costume dramas anymore because he rocked as Shao Dian You Qin. I loved the supporting characters and the actors and actresses really did their characters justice. Ye Tan and You Qin made me fall in love and what a feeling it was! They have now joined my favorite couples list. I loved Ye Tan and Qing Kui and their sisterhood. The Void peeps were so good. The Immortal siblings and the Beast Realm Prince and Man Man. I loved Hu Sui/Su Zhi and I understood her ending. Her story was tragic but i loved the good times she had with everyone. Cast, crew and production teams really gave us something special.
The OST was amazing. The songs kept making me feel fluffy inside or emotional and in tears. They fitted the show so well! Someone on MDL mentioned how good it was and I was intrigued. Now I get it!
I am glad I watched this show and to have it mark my 1 year anniversary into cdramaland! What a treat! π₯°π₯°π₯°πππ€π€π€

Here's a comment I made on reddit after finishing the show. I also felt it was familiar because of Moonlight Mystique (dropped at ep6) and turns out some of the production team worked on it. And A Moment But Forever, I had many things that reminded me of it. Also purple being my favorite color and Ye Tan's theme, it was meant to be lol.
If I understood it correctly Xiao BeiKun resented Xiao BeiMing the most. XBK says something like: βeven now…
The moment Master Zhong was shown having actually rescued the two Bei brothers, I knew Bei Kun would be resentful of the life Bei Ming led, as opposed to the one he got to live. Why he didn't keep the two isn't actually shown I believe.
Like others, the last few eps didn't sit very well with me but the poison turning out to be the antidote was the…
That twist had me smiling big because I was pissed for a few episodes at the beginning because of the poisoning. And this awesome twist had me chuckle because it was well played. That and the identity of Ye Sha. I really got got.
The male lead seems to have abandonment issues and is very clingy and needy but other than that he's alright.
I'm glad someone mentioned this. I am almost done watching and he does indeed suffer from fear of abandonment. He displays many of those traits and that plays a lot on the trust issues. It made me sympathize with him sometimes as someone who dealt with those things. It is understandable though given what Yuan Zhong went through. Trying to hold onto happiness when it was not something he could have before.
I really liked the main couple and the chemistry between the FL and ML was soooo good. I'm really pleased to see LXY with a FL that can match his energy .
He played Chu Gui Hong in A Dream Within A Dream soooo well!!! I was happy to see him in another drama. CGH was annoying as all hells but dammit if the actor played the ish out of it. Craziness and all.
He was my very first 2nd ML Syndrome in Jun Jiu Ling and I'm glad this time he gave me a character to hate instead.
May he get roles he can shine in and show us what he can do! All the best to him!

Other than these, I stay away from Xianxia for my peace of mind and blood pressure hahahahahha.π€£π€£π€£π©π©π€π€
