So guys I'm back. After ranting on this page about how journey to love tore my heart to pieces, I decided to watch something cute. I was determined to stay away from historical dramas for a while so I picked something modern. I even had the confidence to pick something good for myself without asking for recommendations. After careful considerations and deliberations, amongst all the dramas I could watch, I went and chose The white olive tree 😭. Believe it or not !!, I watched the white olive tree right after a journey to love (journey to the grave if you ask me). I come to you, as humble as I can be, to recommend me a nice, cute, fluffy, romantic drama with the happiest ending ever. It's either that or pray for my mental health. Otherwise, I'll need whatever Li Zan was taking for his ptsd.

Title A Journey to Love Spoiler
I did not read any comments before watching this drama so I had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into. I experienced the entire tragedy without any prior warning. I was cluelessly enjoying their entire journey to An, to be honest their trip was fun (even wished I was part of the delegation) right until it wasn't. I should've read the spoilers, I should've seen the signs, at least one of you could've warned me. With Qian (he was my ultimate favourite btw), I was like oh well, there's no war without casualties, then, like a serial killer, the writer started killing off every character per episode like the drama's ratings depended on it. By the time they got to Yu Shisan, I was like fine just Oppenheimer everybody and get it over with. When they got to the main characters, I was numb. Now I'm sad, angry, empty, it's been 6 hours, I can't get myself to watch anything else. Maybe I can try to sleep it off and try to move on with my life tomorrow.

The Fires of Seventeen Years AgoThese were not the same fire. The Qingyuan Palace Fire: This blaze claimed the…
Thanks a lot 🤗🤗. Also, what other crime did uncle Wei Yan commit besides betraying Wei Qilin. From my understanding, most of the atrocities that happened 17 years ago were orchestrated by the emperor. yes 17 years ago he did abandon his mission midway but not entirely because he sent his trusted general in his stead and yes he staged the coup, but it was obviously necessary judging by the late emperor's cruelty and lack of virtue, and no one exactly blamed him for that. I don't understand which crime warranted his execution 17 years later besides throwing Qillin under the bus, I mean he betrayed his friend not the nation, it wasn't treason

Can someone explain to me about the fires in POJ. The fire that killed Consort Virtue, is it the same fire that burnt part of Qi Min's face and killed Lord Sui's actual son?. If not, who started the fire that killed consort virtue, I know the emperor poured oil into the flames but who started the fire. They briefly mentioned that it might have been the crown princess (crown prince Chengde's wife, I presume), but for what reason, deliberately grilled her son's face and sent him off to be raised in the Sui's family as an imposter, what exactly was she protecting him from (his grandfather??). Also, Lord Sui's son (the one who actually died in the fire) what was he doing in the palace, and how did his father not recognise that his son had been exchanged. And Qi Min, where did his scars go, how did he also manage to have a convincing lookalike, I mean cosmetic surgery was not yet a thing that time right?? or was it? since we have time travellers and all. someone please, or book readers, in layman's terms, clear up my confusion. I loved the series and the politics that came with it, I just need to understand it better

somehow i wanted Asami to be loved more. i wanted Yuki to treat him properly as a lover, not rival or a senior…
I totally agree. For Yuki, that was possibly the best opportunity to know more about Asami. I feel like the reason why Yuki doesn't seem to know is single thing about Asami (his childhood and relationship with both of his parents) is because he's always so self absorbed or making every situation about him. I was a bit annoyed when Asami talked about work problems to the bar attendant instead of Yuki his partner, but after that unnecessary outburst from Yuki, I was like "oh well, maybe the bar guy was a better option"
