My brothers and sisters are fans of the Hong sisters. We watched almost all of their dramas. and like most, our biggest disappointment was "Big". we love the drama (Big) but we can never talk about the ending, it's like the end of the world every time we talk about it(Nooooo. Why?).
Still we love the Hong sister's dramas, and we're always waiting to see more of their work.

1. Female
2. Yes. it can't be helped. most asian dramas are geared towards women.
3. yes. Why? it's all about the money of course. If it sells it gets made for. In my opinion, if kpop idols can raise the ratings producers will throw one in for that one reason.
4. you guessed right, 3/5
5. Looks matters for casts; imagine an innocent looking pretty boy as a killer. instead a cast with good chemistry is best.
6. i may have a bias to chose one with my favorite actors and actresses at first. But if the plot or acting of the drama becomes burdensome it gets dropped. usually (and hopefully,) my ratings of a drama is not a reflection of my bias.
7. now, it's mystery, crime, and detectives. sometime melodramas. but even within these genres i'm really picky of any i watch. the story and acting has to catch my attention the first 10 minutes or it's close to being dropped.
8. hmmm? O.O?

you can't get bored of this show. Watching this show is so addicting. it makes me want to take part in the game or make my own running man. every time after watching a episode my brothers and sisters are always talking about we should make our own running man event and how awesome it would be. Awesome.

hmm... strange I actually like #1 & #4. but i totally agree with you on #6 & #9, they are really annoying. Most annoying, in my opinion is Oh Hani from Playful Kiss. the way she thinks, cling, her choices, and her stupidity is annoying.

Cha Seung Jo, mad as a hatter. I love him. He won't fail to make anyone laugh and if he does it's cause he's crazy.

My list would be:
Kang Maru (Innocent Man)
Kim Joo Won (Secret Garden)
Gil Ra Im (Secret Garden)
Kim Sung Woo aka Secretary Kim (Secret Garden)

yes, yes. I understand how you felt after Innocent Man ended. I was the same. I tried to pick up any new drama but the current two i'm watching, good but felt kind of -- blah-- empty. like something's missing. and today -- cause i was bored -- i finally watched School 2013. It's just as you said. You don't think much of it but it totally absorbs you.
I'm scared. you see, i'm on ep. 5. What happens when I catch up? I can't wait. nooooo.

You know what's the worst thing about having seen this drama? It's the fact that I can no longer enjoy other crime solving dramas. This one was just too good. Way too good.

This is one of my most loved Korean drama. I still love it! I love that Sassy Girl was nameless and mean, I like the scripts Sassy Girl wrote had meaning, and I love that GyunWoo was not so good looking and stupidly patient. I hated the American remake that did not keep the characters similar to the original movie, nor was it even as touching as the original. Seriously, American remake was crap. My Sassy Girl is awesome as it is. I hope the idea of remaking this movie into a drama is to show us something better, greater, more outstanding than the original, not just extending the story through out the 16 episodes. Seriously. And please cast a funny and not-so-good-looking-but-also-not-so-ulgy-looking guy for the role of GyunWoo, like Lee Min Ki or Kim Sung Oh (Secret Garden's Secretary Kim).

Title City Hunter
I just finished this drama. It's a great drama. Fun. Good twist. The revenge was more interesting than the love story in this one. Not that the love story was bad but I think less of the love story in the drama would have given us more Lee Min Ho in action.
