Don't let the mom scare you
I don't exactly understand all the negative reviews saying that the mom is the main character. She isn't. Yes, she's loud. Yes, she's annoying. But she isn't the main character. She hasn't even been in the last several episodes that I've watched ( I'm on 24). This is a family drama and I'm really enjoying it. Honestly, it seems really plausible, both with the mom relationship as well as the slow development of the romantic relationship. forcing myself to go to bed at 3am and save some for later.Was this review helpful to you?
the vibe is different!
This is a drama unlike any other. There is so much focus by the director and cinematographer. They came with a purpose and never lost sight of it. Despite the actors who are known for their romantic comedy, the title Smile Code, and the fact that the FL is a comedian - don't expect laughs. I don't think I laughed even once and the writer made sure to wring a few tears from me instead. It's heartwarming, heartbreaking, sweet, and bittersweet. Happy ending, so no worries there.
