A movie that stays with you even after it ends- typical of lee sang il's style of movies. Incredible performances by Suzu Hirose and Matsuzaka Tori as usual but Yokohama Ryusei was a delightful surprise. Despite its already long runtime, it could jave been perfected with a longer runtime ( can't believe I'm saying this about a 2 and half hour film).
Quite a daring project dealing with a bold and controversial subject and that's exactly what I love about this film- it makes you question your ideals and understanding of the world and it's variety of peoplepeople and stays with you even after it ends. The aftertaste after the credits start playing 🙌
They are actually talking about season 2, the idea exists, but it's still not official from what I've understood.…
Oh that sounds interesting, concrete utopia's been on my radar because of lee byung hun. But I'm very curious, apart from the massive earthquake and destrucyion aspect how are these two connected? Like they dont share the same screenwriter or director or producer, do they?

Very indie and artsy for a drama- something you don't find very often in dramaland. Something very fascinating about how the offbeat, quirky and at times chilling atmosphere pulled me into it. It's very clear the atmosphere of the show wanted to mimic the nature of it's characters. Kim Young Kwang too has successfully traumatised me.
But just like the aftertaste of a good ole arthouse film, it leaves you wondering, what the frick did you just watch 🙃 Was disappointed at the lack of american psycho-ness too. 7/10
Action packed, suspenseful and immersive. A well done thriller. The direction was hands down the best aspect of this drama- makes you feel like your peeking into the worst 3 hours of these characters' lives in real time. The only things that were a minor letdown was a few clownish characters, couple conveniences and ooh the excessive shiiii-s 🙃
But still worth my time. Also, my boy Ko Keuk Ryul deserves a guinness record for being a human cockroach 😂
