idk really know what genre you're looking for but these are my most recent watches I liked: The Art of Sarah, Dear X, HyperKnife, Mary Kills People, Maestra, Undercover Miss Hong. They all have a mystery chase aspect some more dark/light than others.

Yeah I can agree with that! But I also think as for the attack she definitely didn’t see it coming so I don’t blame her for not being able to defend right away.
Also I think they don’t realize the severity of the situation yet. They seem to be a bit slow to taking it seriously.
