Yes, he may destroy the positive feelings, and the hope for a good outcome by doing something irredeemable. It will be interesting to see what they do with his character in the drama. In the book it sounds like he's pretty much a lost cause.

I'm actually shocked how good this drama is. It's exceeded my expectations. ZJM is glowing and SWL is leading man perfection. Loving the natural performances and interactions between the leads and supporting cast. The drama is even playing emotional games with me, and making me warm towards ZX.

I'm actually hoping he reaches out and takes the new beginning that's in front of him by the hand. Where it sounds like in the novel they just kept him in the toxic space as an antagonist.

(@11/36) ... SOM certainly is much lighter at heart, but Mai Mai is in her element here playing a vibrant young woman. By contrast, OG locked her into the high school timeline for too long, and didn't give her enough time as a young woman. I really struggled to get any enjoyment out of that role. She lights up the screen in SOM. We are all looking forward to ZJM returning to a heavy-hitting project like DA. However, it's good to mix in fun roles to offset the darker, emotionally taxing ones.

She's proving herself to be a little chemistry generator, capable of producing a spark with any leading man. Which is good box office. Hoping for a WXY collab in the future.
