Her work and accomplishments will overcome the jealousy and petty hate.
Tbh, I think pressure is starting to mount on certain actresses from the 90s / 95s. Someone like Yang Zi has nothing to fear because she's gone on and become a top-level actress with multiple Magnolia award nominations for best actress and a win this year. However, there are others who haven't put in the work and become better performers. Your youth only lasts so long, if you don't develop your skills you won't be able to transition to serious roles. With Jinmai's 00 class rising and even those from 05 starting to emerge, it will put pressure on actresses from the 90s / 95 who couldn't make the transition. Don't be surprised when their fans lash out.
Prisoner of beauty also my fav historical drama but as you said, KTTPH is really fast pace and the political intrigue…
Don't forget ridiculous scenes like where the 2ML won the trust of the military by essentially winning a bar fight. Even if he is the rightful heir, that scene was cheap and low effort. You spend the whole first half of the drama demonstrating the challenges the FL goes through to earn trust. Then you simply bar fight the 2ML to the commander of the military. Yeah, those soldiers entrust their lives to each other. That comical scenario is just not a thing. A classic case of focusing too much on one aspect and not leaving enough time to properly develop the other aspects. Also, KTTPH went old school and simply had the protagonists defeat the villains. A far more rewarding choice. Humiliating and presenting antagonists as incompetent only diminishes the heroes and lowers the intensity of the story.
but still..Aimi is good but hope they can choose another actress..theres a romantic scene that need a kiss but…
Tian Tian from "Rebirth" was the primary choice. She got embroiled in that earrings scandal, so they decided to go with someone else to avoid controversy. Ai Mi won out over all other candidates.
I thought this was neat. This is why it's so easy to be a fan of this talented young lady. This is why we love her π...

Sina Entertainment interviewed @actressAmy, who talked about playing the female lead in her first period drama, expressing both joy and heavy pressure: "I'm worried that everyone will still see Xie Jiayu as just a child," so she controlled herself to avoid making small gestures, afraid of making Xie Jiayu seem unintelligent. Regarding why she only applied to the Beijing Film Academy for college entrance exams, she said it was because her schedule was too full and she really longed for the academy: "I wanted to give it my all." Her desk, where she studied, was inscribed with "For a tomorrow without tears," which gave her the confidence to boldly seize opportunities. π Regarding turning 18, she considers herself a "0-year-old adult." "Compared to 18, I'm probably more looking forward to being 19 or 21. I won't force myself to grow up overnight; growth is a gradual process. I'm willing to retain my childlike innocence, and it's good to learn how to be an emotionally stable adult as I move forward." Regarding the claim that life is like a wish-fulfillment novel, she doesn't agree. Having entered the film industry from a young age, she has been quietly accumulating strength: "I'm still in the stage of continuously laying the foundation; only with roots can one grow upwards."

Both dramas have amazing chemistry between the leads. Where KTTPH beats POB is in the run home. It has a much stronger back half and finale. The first half of POB was some of the best written historical-political drama you'll find. It was so well put together. The great difficulty and lengths the FL goes through to earn the ML's trust. The constant walking on eggshells. The non-stop tension. It was simply amazing. However, it got sloppy towards the end, often taking shortcuts, and the villains were extremely poorly written. Particularly that idiot woman who had her nose cut off. What a cartoonish buffoon of a character. Those aspects really let the drama down.
Hmmm π€, TJR, isn't he becoming a popular choice? You mentioned it out loud and he was mentioned quietly below.…
Ah, I see. You would like to see Ai Mi matched with baby-face actors. Even though Wang Xingyue is young (the 2nd youngest if added to that list), he has a mature aesthetic.
Male-centric and only 12 episodes. The pacing will be amazing. This drama has the potential to be really special.…
π€ It happens. It sounds really promising. Will be filmed in Xiangshan. Tbf, with a short episode count even with a screenwriter who's not the best, it may still work out well. Fewer episodes to stuff it up.

Can someone post more pictures of Zhang Xiaofei and Dilraba. I'm posting a second promotional set from Ai Mi. Also, does anyone have more pictures of newcomer Xue Ye?
Update summary~Less than 8 hours ago, Ai Mi posted "OK! Don't worry, Captain! Leave it to me!"https://www.weibo.com/6671129497/RaTs99E8tYesterday…
Thank you for this update. She's carrying herself really well in interviews. Always praising seniors and sharing what she learnt from them. She discusses being on a long journey to become a respected actress, and looking forward to her university studies. Such a great head on her shoulders.
I'm so happy she's going to sneak in one more drama opposite Deng Wei before leaving us for a while to study. Ai Mi's style is getting better and better, too. She looks fabulous in her casual attire in that airport clip.
