She's a talented dramatic actress, and a Miu Miu ambassador along with Mai Mai. Both of them get along well at events. People sometimes pick on LHC here on MDL because she doesn't do kiss scenes. So they don't want her in anything romantic. You and I just watched a great drama with no kiss scenes. You don't need them. On C-net the two fandoms fight a lot. Which is a shame. Both are beautiful and talented. I take a different approach. Jinmai is my favourite, but I still adore the ability and work of LHC. She's lovely, and I don't have one ounce of hate for her.

"Drifting Away" is not for everyone. It's such a raw, and terrifyingly haunting performance. Many hoped she'd get an award for it. She certainly received praise. But crime dramas are dark and many people don't want to watch that kind of thing. I recommend it for her performance, but I'd also advise against if you don't like those types of dramas.

I'm glad you enjoyed OG. Many did, even if others didn't. I also had issue with ZLH playing a high schooler. He's ridiculously handsome, and has great skin. But he has a mature adult look. I just couldn't buy him in the role.

I actually liked their dynamic in TPR. I struggled with OG (which I know you love) because so much of the drama was set in high school. I adored her performance in DA, it's my favourite alongside "Reset" (I understand many don't like DA because it's a really dark drama). For me, OG just wasn't the type of role I wanted to see next from ZJM. However, that's the great thing about Mai Mai, she's such an outstanding and versatile actress, there's literally something for everyone in her filmography. Few actresses can claim the same. Particularly, the young ones 😊.

Yes, but it's harder for some of her older work. Basically, many of my tag requests have been ignored (stingy 😤). However, that actually could be because the people who posted the pictures are no longer here or even active at all. So, in that case, I cheat and add new pictures and tag myself. There are a couple of "The Blessed Girl" pictures that I added. I'll be annoyed if people ignore my TPR tag requests. It's up to them what they choose to do. I'll just add more pics and submit them myself if none get approved.

PS... There have been wonderful people who have accepted the requests, and I'm very thankful for your help building up Mai Mai's photo section 💞.

GJM has always been like this. I agree, she looks fabulous, radiant, healthy, and in good shape. I hope she never listens to any nonsense that would jeopardise her health. There are some older actresses (in their 20s) who concern me with their weight loss. I never want to see that for Ai Mi.

Yeah, it's an annoying aspect of the fandoms of actors. A tribal element can emerge similar to what you find with fans of sports. Personally, when it comes to acting, if you've got talent, I want you to succeed. Even if I have my favourites, like ZJM.

They really did such a good job with this drama. Some of the best on-screen chemistry I've seen in a long time. Oh, and then they go and spoil you with another beautiful confession in 19 🥰.

Thematically similar, both have great acting, and outstanding chemistry. The "Enemies become Lovers" concept is executed differently in each, which fits the story they want to tell. Personally, I give the advantage to KTTPH as the story stayed tightly wrapped throughout the whole drama. I've commented multiple times that I felt like I was watching a movie rather than a long-form drama. POB, by contrast, starts brilliantly but becomes loose towards the end. The first portion of POB was a truly meticulous example of a historical political drama. Filled with tension and suspense. The latter stages just didn't afford the same care. The villains in POB were also woefully inept, particularly the tragic villainess who came across as ridiculous and cartoonish. KTTPH villains are complex, well written, and well acted. The Eagle King, for example, is the absolute picture of masculinity. A warrior villain who is never unnecessarily humiliated for fan-service. He is simply a powerful opponent who stands opposite Xiao Wuyi.

Some relate the pacing to a short drama. I personally believe it flows beautifully like an extended movie. Films need to be extremely disciplined not to waste scenes, and tell a powerful story within a time limit. KTTPH had no unnecessary moments that I can remember. Instead, it's filled to the brim with impactful and memorable scenes. The types of scenes that become iconic over the course of time. Hence, the movie atmosphere.

You'll feel better once you watch the next episode (17). I promise.
