Thanks for the friend invite! :) Nice to meet you!
I'm always delighted to find people who appreciate the creativity of j-dramas. Glad to see that I'm not the only one who thinks this way :)
I'm really enjoying this. too bad subbers seem to forget to sub the last 2-3 episodes lately...isn't it annoying…
I know it's still continued to be subbed, but I just think it's annoying to start something and then leave the people watching it wait for months to see the ending. when I posted my comment ep 9 wasn't out. ep 7 was released Jul 08 and ep 8 Aug 13.I thought it's going to take the subber another two months for the last 2 episodes. I know subbers have their own lives too and I appreciate their work a lot, but if you take on a project, at least finish it.(see saikou no rikon where ep 9 came out in May...and since May, the subber is still working on episode 10...)
I'm really enjoying this. too bad subbers seem to forget to sub the last 2-3 episodes lately...isn't it annoying to marathon most of the drama and when you are really curious to see the ending...surprise, last episode uploaded was 2 months ago or more...like Saikou no rikon

Actually I've decided to watch Orange Days since I had it on my PTW list :) I saw the first 5 episodes today aaaaand the guys are so cute. I was trying to find something "in between". Not too serious and heartbreaking but not too shallow either. I see "Soredemo, ikite yuku" gets a lot of appreciation and I was thinking about watching that too, but it seemed too heartbreaking. I made the right choice. Saw the first episode and it seemed just the right combination. It's heartwarming without exaggerating the story, it got me hooked up.
About Yasu, I completely agree. He's such a memorable character. :)
Anything that got you hooked?

I'm not watching anything else right now. I just finished Tonbi. I rated it 10 because I really enjoyed it :) It was the first family drama I've seen and it made me appreciate the genre, it was meaningful...and it made me realize why I love japanese dramas this much. I guess it's because of how beautifuly their somehow original way of thinking reflects in them. I love their attention for detail. Like when Yasu was looking at his toenails and he became overwhelmed with emotions. Who would have made a drama scene where the guy starts crying over his dead wife when looking at his toenails :) or "you be the ocean" kind of speech.
I've also watched a few itazura na kiss episodes. looking forward to the last two episodes. I realized the actors were quite good. they managed to create really vivid characters, especially the guy playing Irie. Irie feels so genuine, makes me think watching this wasn't a complete waste of time.
Now I'm thinking about what to watch next. Not sure what genre to choose this time. too bad dramacrazy isn't around anymore :-<

Hehe, yes, I've read your review as well, so I thought it might be worth of my time. I also liked Takeru Sato in the few dramas I've seen with him, Bloody Monday and Kamen Rider Den-o. I'm not into Kamen Rider that much, just happened to see the first episodes and Takeru Sato was so hilarious that I ended up finishing the series. He just nailed it.
He plays a totally different role in Tonbi, but it seems he does a great job with this one too[although he doesn't get a lot of time on screen or how do you say that].I just managed to watch 4 episodes, still having a nice week full of exams -.-" can't wait for the weekend, I really miss marathoning a drama right now.
God, this drama is such a tearjerker[but in a good way]. I managed not to have tears in my eyes when I watched episode 3 so I was hoping I'm getting used to it, since it felt kinda awkward to cry each episode, but then I saw ep 4 and my illusion was completely destroyed. Some moments are so emotional. I'm enjoying it, since I'm new to family dramas.[seems that Kame's new drama will also be a family drama...so it's not going to be the last one I watch <3 ]
What are you watching at the moment? [And sorry for the late reply!:)]
lol. I wanted to watch this movie tonight and after seeing the first 5 minutes of it I realized I've already seen it. I don't know why the name didn't stick to my mind. Seems like this type of "scary girl who's actually not scary" character is quite popular in Japan. Nobuta wo produce, Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, Kimi ni todoke..are there others?

I'm not really sure about Itazura na kiss. It is faithful to the anime to a certain extent, but they made some adjustments to the story. Sometimes events don't happen in the same order or exactly the same way, but they didn't turn things upspide down. And I have to say, I enjoyed a few scenes better in the live drama. What I find weird is that the actors play close to the anime, I mean...too close sometimes.Kotoko does all the silly poses like in the anime, and for me that's a bit strange for a live drama, but others might find it funny. Other than that, I like the chemistry between the main leads, the relationship between Kotoko and Irie develops gradually, like in the anime, and things don't seem rushed. I don't feel sorry I started to watch it[hope the ending is nice though]. If you are able to put up with Kotoko's loud voice and silly poses, the drama is worth seeing for the way their relationship is portrayed. I have to say, the actor who plays Irie is not as handsome as Irie from the anime, but as an actor...I think he did a great job.
I haven's seen 'Orange days' yet, but I heard only good things about it so I've put it on my PTW. I watched the first episode of Tonbi today.

Right now I'm still busy with exams so I haven't got much time to watch anything. I watched the Rurouni Kenshin movie last week and I didn't expect it to be that good, I really enjoyed it. Other than that, I got myself to watch Itazura na kiss because I saw the anime a couple of years ago and was curious how the drama turned, but I promised myself not to touch high school dramas again, all the screaming girls are getting pretty annoying

Hello! :) I also loved Kame as Hiroto, in Tatta Hitotsu no koi. I tried to watch other drama with him after finishing that, but Hiroto's character was too alive in my mind to see him as someone else
