Also, what’s up with the crazy twist of the FL’s mom been alive and not contacting her family for 18 years???? I know she was afraid but she could’ve contacted her husband and have her whole family move to Thailand with her and away from the evil people. So now she decides she wants to live with her daughter? Also, nobody changes that much in 18 years (unless you’re a kid). The judge and her own daughter can’t recognize her? She just has a different haircut.

So the bad guy sends his lackey to get the ML’s uncle and he agrees to go even though he only has one man with him. Then he goes to the bad guys office and sits with his back to all the bad man’s men (the minute I saw that I knew something dumb was about to happen) then the uncle’s man also stands with his back to the bad guys. They proceed to kill the dude and inject the uncle with something to knock him out. Then the whole scene where the uncle dies and the ML grabs the knife (in the whole series he never did that while fighting because, as he stated at the beginning, it’s a bigger penalty if they catch u with a knife). Now he’s put in prison for the (dumb) death of the uncle because his fingerprints are on the knife (shocking). That whole episode was a dumpster fire and I’m so irritated.

I was really loving this series (has the same feel as Prosecutor Doberman) until I got to episode 8 and now I don’t want to even continue it. One thing I can’t forgive in series is when the writer adds an extremely stupid scene and has a character, that should know better, do something extremely stupid (which in real life a pro would not do) just to make something happen. I’m talking about the ML’s uncle’s behavior on episode 8. I’ll explain it on a spoiler comment.

yes. I think what affected me was that I read so many comments (before watching it) that said they had SML syndrome so I was expecting the same and for him to be this amazing dude and it was just the opposite unfortunately. I have to stop reading comments before starting a show LOL

I saw that too. Started seeing it like 2 episodes before I think. I thought it might be a birthmark but not sure. It had nothing to do with the series.

The trope I hate the most it’s the 2 year apart thing. It’s lazy writing, not needed and idk why they think this makes people’s love grow. It’s unrealistic and dumb. The friend code the SML broke was confessing his love and trying to get his best friends ex girlfriend. Never go for your friends ex’s people. Btw her bff was evil.

I kept putting off watching this drama for 2 reasons. First because I thought it would be like My ID it’s Gangnam beauty (which I didn’t like at all) and secondly because I read comments everywhere wanting the SML to be with the girl and having SML syndrome. I’m happy to announce that this was way better than MIGB and I don’t understand why people had SML syndrome. I found the SML to be immature, annoying and had no chemistry with the FL other than brotherly. He doesn’t like her until halfway and it’s not love but more of a crush (he even says it at one point). He was rude to her most of the time and seriously behaved like her brother (she mentions it too). I didn’t think He was a fantastic friend (as people seem to think) because he believed a lie and didn’t even ask, he went for the girl his friend loved on purpose and then broke the friend code (will write it in spoiler comment). I didn’t like the FL too much either. Writers tried to portrait her as innocent and naive and I found her to be more dumb, clueless and annoying than anything. My favorite people were her family. They were insane and hilarious. They made the whole drama for me. The ML was great too. I was annoyed in the end because the writers went with the trope that 90% of kdrama writers go for and I hate (I’ll write it in spoiler comment). Overall it was a fun, entertaining, cute story.

I don’t know why are people fighting you on this. In real life the actress is 50 and the actor is 39. She does look like she’s 50. I haven’t watched the show yet but when I saw the trailer i knew right away she was in her 50’s. She Does not look 30 at all. There’s nothing to fight about here, her real age is her real age period.

No Taeh Nam had the biggest character development. My problem with that it’s that I didn’t believe it. The writers tried justifying his actions by showing his trauma but he was truly evil at the beginning and didn’t pay for what he did. I don’t believe a person like that will change by going into the military. In real life he would’ve been part of the bullies and wouldn’t have let those guys bully him. After been an abusive bully the writers made him into a meek person. It was hard to believe. Also, the case with his friend he killed all those guys, he got sentenced to death (without first the abusers been investigated) I think it was a very harsh sentence given that fact that he was severely abused and just snapped. I think life without parole would’ve been a better outcome.

I loved this drama. Very well written and entertaining. Trigger warning!!! There’s SA of a female and also of a male (not shown per se). There was one character that had the biggest character development I’ve ever seen in a series which was awesome to se. My problem with it was that I didn’t find it necessarily believable (will expand more on a spoiler marked comment). I would’ve been happy without the last second shown at the end. It was not needed. Either develop that episodes before or don’t do it at all.

One of the reasons might be because the ML looks older and people usually like the kpop looking young actors. I personally love this drama and loved the main lead.

I stand by what I said. Higher ratings don’t mean people are right. It’s been proven in movies, books etc. Sometimes people give higher ratings to dramas just because they’re fans of the actors not because the story is great. Fans tend to be blind when it comes to the people they like. In this case, acting was excellent, the story not so much.

I can do and write whatever I feel like. I already stated In the section I marked as “spoilers” some of the stuff that was awfully written and there was so much more. I don’t need to explain myself to you. If you didn’t like my comment, you could’ve kept scrolling. As simple as that.
