This was my first C drama and I was just blown away by how awesome it was. I remember how novel it all was but I don’t think I would watch if I had seen newer dramas like Eternal Love or Till the end of the moon because the build up towards the FL abandoning her Mary Sue plotline is quite long. And the ML is so stoic it makes one wonder how you could like him.

If you are going to write a forced relationship drama I think it could have been better executed. The ML is very unsympathetic; IMO a good villain is multi faceted and they do not achieve that here and the female lead is written in a way that has me scratching my head as to why she would like him given how one dimensional he is. I blame the script here more than the acting.

I don’t know a lot about the politics in the C drama film industry but I bet it’s insane

You can spoil it but who the heck is the true love/the one she will ultimately wind up with. I don’t usually like harem dramas outside of scheming for power so who is she destined to wind up with?

Ruined seems a little harsh blame the casting team who picked her IMO

The novel has romance but it is more one sided and a slow burner IMO
