I never had that 'Be a doc or engineer.' because since childhood I wanted to be an engineer. But my parents wanted me to be a mech. or electrical engineer. but I wanted to be an EC or Computer engineer so there were some disagreements but finally I'm going to be an EC engineer. For me this is what I wanted...

Yup generally 36h in India also...and if you add sunday then 42h...

LOL...Actually many students want a system like foreign systems...and me & my friends are also planning to do masters in foreign...

Yes, I don't have summer vacation...actually during summer I've reading time for university exams...

Education system already sucks and in addition mentality of people performs important role...every parent want their child to be an engineer or doctor or CA...

I don't know about international schools but for local schools: After 9th standard 80% of students hardly get 2-3 vacations which are 1-2 months long...and then university..

Hmm...only 4 days!!...here 6 days of 7 hrs...Some students of 10th to 12th have to go to school on Sunday also...

I forgot the vacations and I'm in university and I don't care about it much...but I do care about students of school...most of them can't enjoy their life...

Actually in last 5 years I had only one 1 month long vacation and 4-5 mini vacations of 4-5 days...(T_T)...Indian education system sucks...
