On The Isle Nov 28, 2013
Title The Isle Spoiler
Interview with Kim Ki-Duk at the time of THE ISLE's (SEOM) release that raised exactly the same question as many of us will have here. His answer pertained to the metaphorical notion that essentially human beings are all "islands", singular and unique in our own ways, yet (largely) harbour the propensity to gravitate towards others. Though Kim Yu-Suk's character was individualistic enough to set himself apart from others, and he fled to the fishing lake as a means of hiding that eventually transgressed into a mindset of a solitary existence, Su Jung's Hee-Jin was his very own "desert island" that he ultimately bore refuge in. I think the greater message was that the human heart is "the isle" of the title, and that (for many) sex and love will always be intangibly intertwined. Those final images were just a semi-surrealist representation of that idiom.

Well maybe you cried buckets of tears but on average nowadays I feel more emotions while watching something :P

1 Litre is definitely heavier but I cried buckets of happy tears while watching The Queen's Classroom, Tonbi & in case of Alone in Love it was 2x...because of funny scenes and emotional scenes :)

WOW! You got recommendation of AiL! I know only two person who loved it. I thought I'm in minority since no one seems to watch it. It's ignored because it's old and no hotties in cast but believe me it's A++! I don't think I'll watch anything better than AiL ever! Same for TQC...

You've seen 1 Litre of Tears and I consider it as bit heavy slice of life...I was teary but still not too heavy.

The Queen's Classroom - Heartmelt is guaranteed but in happy way, not too light but moderate.
Tonbi - Same as TQC
Alone in Love - Only one of its kind and only one K drama which can be considered as slice of life IMO. It is most realistic show I've ever seen. It can be also considered as romance or rom-com...because it's loliest drama and most romantic one. I don't know how people feel but it's one of a kind :)

btw it's my interpretation of light slice of life. You may find them heavy...not sure :)

Yes it's exam so I'm busy and free because I'm detained from university for a year. You know in India too many people and it's hard to get a temporary job so mostly at home studying...deadly combo of free+busy!
Thanks ^^

I was going to give some feedback and I'll give but first let me check dictionary. I couldn't understand many words from your post :P
I've imaginary mind but I can't imagine something specific, so wait wait...I'll reply :)
Or maybe I'll tell some of my actions in similar state of mind.
