Yes, Hyun Bin is way better than he was in Secret Garden; also actress is very good.
I think it won't suit you because Snow Queen involves an unnecessary death. I'm okay with deaths but in this bittersweet show death is inserted needlessly. Still it was happy-happy for my taste and at the end I was smiling :)
However, you can watch up to episode 14 without any worries and then drop it!
