SPOILER Warning Review: It is a nice and funny story. The chemistry between the leads is also warm and cute. The OST also sounds great to me (I don't understand any Chinese at all, I just vibe to it), in particular the song in the last scene, and also the intro and outro songs. However, at some points of the series, it seems a little too slow, dragged out or repetitive, particularly between episodes 7/8 to 18/19. Mostly because Xiaoqi refuses to honestly tell Fang Leng and Fang Lie about what she truly wants. This leads to a lot of misunderstandings and leads to troubles that should not have arisen in the first place. It does become more gripping and interesting around ep 20 and maintains it until the end. Over the series, we get to see character development of several characters, particularly Fang Leng and Fang Lie, and to some extent Jiang Xue and Lie's mother, which is obviously a treat to watch. One thing is not yet clear to me - how did the enunciator go from the burnt gallery to Fang Leng's heart, and how it got stuck there. TLDR: Unless you lose interest around episode 8-12, you would probably complete the series, and enjoy it.

However, I find it somewhat creepy that the ML had an unconfessed crush on whom he presumed to his half-sibling until very late in the series. If the truth hadn't been what it was, a real-life story on similar trajectory would have been pretty toxic. But it's just a story that ends well, so maybe we shouldn't read too much into it.
