watching with jpn captions rn and had to come here for a bit. i called it!!! they really brought kainuma back…
I'm glad they brought in Kainuma back because he was such an effective villain, more so than in the manga. But also a bit sad they reduced Takimoto's role because he was so vile in the manga and I really wanted to see that scene when he revealed how he messed up with Maki's gun, causing him to accidentally kill Suzuki despite aiming at his leg.
Yes, it is ongoing. Not Himitsu top secret though, it does end as per the manga. But the story continues with…
The drama is based on the manga Himitsu - Top Secret. The continuation and the ongoing one is called Himitsu - Season 0. It's supposed to be a prequel to Top Secret but from what I've been seeing so far, there is also continuation to after Top Secret. Season 0 is not translated unfortunately.
One more ep to go and I can't wait! I think they did a great job with the casting of Maki, Aoki/Suzuki and Okabe especially. Really really really embodied their roles as if they just came out from the manga. Whoever decided to put Yuto and Rihito together, thank you so much. It's so much fun to watch knowing they're really close irl and clearly their camaraderie helped their portrayal because AoMaki chemistry is off the roof.
Yuto said there is a scene where they confess their feelings to each other. Praying for a good end 💖🥹
From the manga, Aoki did say he like Maki. But Maki didn't say it back. Idk if in Yuto's comment it would mean a slight change from the manga. I'll be happy if that happens. But again, the manga is very subtle about Maki and Aoki's underlying feelings for each other anyway. It's honestly up to a person's interpretation as to what "like" means.
Okay— I can't fathom that next week will be the last episode. I hope my heart could take it. I literally refused…
I hope we'll get a S2. The manga for Top Secret ends as per the drama's timeline but we also have Himitsu ( Season 0). So they can have a S2 if they want to. Plus it's ongoing. Would love to see Aoki raising a child Mai-chan. And hearing her calling Maki as Maki-chan
The scene where Maki dreamt of overlapping Aoki and Suzuki, we can clearly see that's two different person. Yuto's…
FR.. He's doing an amazing job playing two roles. And yet, he gave the most underrated comment of all. He said he didn't even try to actively differentiate his portrayal of Aoki and Suzuki. But Rihito said his eyes as Aoki vs Suzuki were different.
Now I want to know what will happen in episode 11 finale , I can't wait I don't mind spoilers ,, from the anemi…
I suggest you look up the final chapter of the manga online. If you don't mind being spoiled. It's actually already English translated. You should be able to catch up quite easily if you've been following the drama since they did a wonderful job adapting the manga into the live-action drama. Takimoto's character in the manga is called Takizawa, though. But other than that, not much changes.
I wouldnt suggest the anime because it was released before the manga completed. Tbh, I only read the original manga, I didn't watch the anime or the live action movie.
If last ep ending is perfect, I don't think I wanna beg for season 2 (but Idk, is the manga still on going? If…
Yes, it is ongoing. Not Himitsu top secret though, it does end as per the manga. But the story continues with Himitsu - Season 0. Unfortunately those aren't English-translated but AFAIK, there's definitely a look into Maki's background, how he met Suzuki, his family, etc as well as post Top Secret. The post Top Secret universe is still ongoing.
Ep 9 was amazing and I'm glad they're exploring the arc in a multi-ep format so we could see the slow burn in a way. The ending scene where Aoki was struggling with his discovery, amazing acting by Yuto. Barely any lines but we could feel his devastation, fear, and confusion. I'm glad they decided to really take their time with that scene. And unlike in the manga, where it wasn't really explicitly stated, I'm glad they included the line of Aoki's inner monologue on whether he was chasing after Yukiko because of Suzuki's memories. I like that it is clearly portrayed, because it wasn't that clear in the manga. You could tell even Yukiko was questioning her own feelings because she could not stop drawing parallel with Suzuki too.
He really love them that's no doubt about it but is it gay love or Brotherly love that's the true point and only…
It's definitely not brotherly love for me. Even when I read the manga, it was very obvious. It's just because Maki doesn't pursue him or show any signs of interest explicitly, and actually supporting his relationship with Yukiko that could confuse some people. But Maki does this not because of his lack of feelings for Aoki, but because he himself has come to terms that he's not meant to settle down with anyone else and he just wants the people around him to be happy instead. When under pressure, his feelings really came out. The confrontation with Yukiko, his stoic facade breaking when Yukiko taunted him. At the hospital, Maki was so relieved that Aoki was fine he actually broke down in tears and hugged Aoki. Yukiko also remarked that Aoki possessed all the qualities Maki liked. In fact, Okabe could sense it too, obviously. When he told Maki that Aoki was probably introducing Yukiko to his family, only to then apologise apologise for speaking out of turn - as if he knew that was a sore spot for Maki.
I wouldnt suggest the anime because it was released before the manga completed. Tbh, I only read the original manga, I didn't watch the anime or the live action movie.
