I did check out just one ep of Not Me to see Film and Gun. She's definitely a good actress, seeing how this role is completely different than in Not Me. Photoshopping is just a big no-no for a professional production, imo. Also, im glad theyre steering away from the original plot - somewhat. I never liked how long Kaew was stuck being misunderstoos the mistress. Glad Mom finally saw her true worth

Watched ep 7, have to say I'm probably going to like this storyline more than Itch and Kaew. Stronger cast performance so it doesnt distract me while watching and the fact that so many people over here already heating on Nueng means it's only going to be more interesting moving forward. Always a sucker for love/hate trope. I hope it doesnt disappoint. Oh, im also happy they did wrap up Itch's storyline properly.

You dont see them enough because the drama is focusing on each brother's storyline. The first 6 eps is about Itchaya and Kaew, ep 7 ends this arc and goes to the 2nd brother, Tay's storyline. During the arc, the remaining brothers will just be side characters. Im not fan of this format, though. Like you, been waiting for Tay's storyline.

Thanks so much for explaining! No wonder the original teaser released earlier this year made no sense. Just watched ep 7 aka the wrap up of Itch's arc and i definitely sensed a difference with how it was portrayed in the first teaser. Im guessing they had to reshoot some scenes, esp Gun. Maybe they also revised the script. Cant believe GMM did that. So unprofessional. I definitely missed out on the announcement.

It also makes sense now why the drama waited so long to air and surprisingly from social media they only wrapped up filming last week. I dont mind Film playing view. I also dont understand why they recast the ori actress. But yes, the vibe definitely was different from the original trailer with Bimbeam. But Gun and Film already acted together before so i guess their pairing will be just fine

Can someone clarify? Looks to me like they used different actress to play "View" . The first trailer released 10 months ago had this lady with blonde hair appearing to be Ashira's love interest but we can see now in the most recent trailer and promotional activities that the actress is Film now with black hair.

Do we have 2 different actresses playing 2 different roles or it's always been Film all along and i just couldnt differentiate her with makeup?

Watched all eps. So my review:
1) Good acting from the older actors, the moms expecially
2) Not a fan of Mook's acting on th parts of being sad or crying, just looks fake or isnt convincing. Ive seen better performance from her. I like her portrayal of the lovely daughter but her character really needs to grow a backbone as everyone is just stomping on her like a little ant.
3) Among the bros, i'd say Tay has the best performance. Im not so familiar with Gun's work but i guess because of how the character's written, the cutesy moments feel cringy to me. Luke has his moments though, and i dont mind his performance.
4) The moms are really annoying and infuriating. But that parking lot scene where Nichapa called out stepmom's manipulative behaviour and real mom also reflected a bit is one of my faves. Both moms are way too controlling and manipulative.
5) Kaewklaw's sister finally redeemed herself - but it's infuriating to see that she learns her lesson only because the Dad is caught with someone else, not because she actually felt bad about throwing lil sis under the bus.
6) Dont like how they ended ep 6. But happy to move on to the other arc. Ive been waiting for Tay's arc the most.
7) Is this drama doing ok rating-wise? It's kind of low but is that the norm for gmmtv? I usually watch Ch7 so their ratings are obv much higher

Read that they're going to split the eps into mini arcs to focus on each brother - tbh not a fan of this concept but I'll get used to it later (apparently each storyline was written by different people). I was hoping that we'd see more integration of all the characters. Anyway, like many, I dislike the elder sis character for being so selfish and throwing the hardworking sis under the bus. She's supposed to be a successful actress, why isn't she chipping in more for the family?

The love-hate relationship between Itch and his mother is interesting. He seems to hate her to the core but cares enough to check up on her when he heard she had migraine.

My only minor criticism at this point is Mook's acting. I don't think this is her strongest performance. She has her moments but I don't really feel her frustration at being used by her sis to act as the mistress decoy. Irl, this situation would be infuriating and I just don't get that vibe from her.

Would be great to know what your thoughts are after you watched the whole series. Please share. And you are right, we owe a lot to fansubbers. I wish Thai channels eps Ch7 would take note of their international fans and release sunned eps or at least sell them to streaming sites. GMM and Ch3 doing good job with this already

The best free sub I see so far is JJfansubs - fully subbed but it's in Indonesian. The rest needs to wait for Rainbowsubs to release. Also fully sub but not released for free all eps yet. At any rate, i hope the subs don't eventually make it to those streaming sites as it will make subbers stop subbing. Wondering whether Ch7 actually sells their dramas to streaming platforms like Ch3 does, it actually helps gain more international following and help with subbing speed. They also release a lot of promotional contents and interviews with the cast and none are subbed, which is frustrating to me. Such is the despair of an international lakorn fan

Rainbowsubs has up to ep 6 for free, but has subbed up tp ep13 which you can watch if you pay for the membership. All eps will eventually be free so you can just wait for the eps to be released. There's a schedule posted on when each eps will be released or will be free so it will take a few months imo for all eps to be free

Ikr? Surprisingly good chemistry between Ko-Maggi. I love their relationship and found myself somehow rooting for the bffs to end up together even though I know the pairing are purely platonic. I like how Sri is always there for Te, especially when he goes through his heartache moments

I've seen all but since I don't speak Thai, I still need to wait for subs to complete and rely on things like google translate and comments from people to make sense. But I agree with you. The saving grace for this drama is perhaps the performance of the cast. I got to this drama because it's Ko-Pp reunion drama and I got curious and I have to say, I can definitely see the acting growth esp for PP. She did well portraying 3 characters. As for Ko, he also surprised me. The scenes where he wept for his wife really moved me (I don't even understand what he was saying). I thought they had beautiful filming locations, great costume and make up (PP looked sooo beautiful here, whoever did her hair and make up deserve a raise, the glow up really). The Ost grew on me over time and I'm glad Ko sang it. But the biggest problem is the pacing and editing. Too much focus on certain storyline, esp on Ketsara. I agree with you that it got a bit slow after Dao woke up. I get that she couldn't remember him but her character got a tad annoying. I really missed Siangwaan. And I felt bad that Techit had to pine after her. I think the production really missed on capitalising more on the Ko-Pp chemistry train. They would release all these great pictures of them but then those scenes would be cut out and just appeared at the end as a flashback like an afterthought by somewhat who did the editing. They shouldnt have rushed the relationship-building, not just for Dao-Techit, but also for Paul-Sri. It definitely could focus on romance a bit more imo as the chemistry was really strong there between the cast. Also surprisingly good chemistry between Ko-Maggi as the bffs. I got so annoyed with Dao at one point I wouldnt mind Techit to just marry Sri 😂. Anyway, I might change my mind once I've seen all eps with subs

Agreed. Pinkploy is great! She said she was playing 3 characters and so far, we could see the distinction of each character. I thought kessara is quite charismatic. My least fave would be her as praidao 😂 but that's probably because she can't remember Techit yet so she's always upset and angry at him.

Im surprised she's still haunting even though they found her body and property had her funeral. I guess she won't stop until her murder is avenged. But good job, it's the only horror element of the drama, it's interesting since I don't usually watch horror genre much

Well, you're entitled to your opinion. From the original drama, yes, i was more invested in the 2nd leads but not for this remake version. I think they humanise Techit more here, so i feel gutted for him. I really really like maggi's portrayal though. I might be biased because even in the original, I like sritrang's character. They already said they won't follow the original drama exactly and give it a fresh interpretation so I hope they can redeem the male leads because I do find that it was an opportunity wasted perhaps in the way they were portrayed in the original. So far for the character siangwaan and praidao, there is definitely a difference in their demeanor and I look forward to how they'll explore her role in the whole duen-sia-paul dynamics. I can't remember exactly but was her life ever at risk in the original drama, because she's targeted here too alongside Techit

Well, Duen is the third couple whose main trope is her cheating villain husband. I watched the original drama so curious to see how they'll wrap her storyline.

Not entire lakorn, just during the part where she's a spirit. But I think the changing outfits is supposed to signal that she's not dead. The other spirit, kedsara, is always wearing the same white dress though and she was murdered.

I agree that the transition to being in love with someone new was quite quick. Blame the writers for that because supposedly siangwaan stayed with him for 2 years. Not sure what's the time jump here, it wasn't made explicit or because there's no fully subs yet. As for the ratings, it is great considering its no 1 on the prime time slot across all channels. I'm not comparing it with other dramas airing on different slots as ultimately, that's what the channel and production want to see anyway, the competition for the same slot. If it's not doing great as what you say, then I guess people don't really tune in during prime time in general.
