I adored the first half of the story with Rain + Payu but the charm faded for me in the second half with Sky + Prapai. I liked them more as side characters than a couple but I think much of that feeling stems from the manner in which their story was presented. I would’ve been far more invested in their characters’ developing romance had their story been reserved for a second season spinoff rather than the way it was structured. The seriousness of Sky’s backstory alone was worthy of its own pacing and development time but instead felt rushed. I get why and what they were going for in opting to fit two stories into a single season but the squeeze was definitely at the expense of the storytelling in both halves.

Sooo… I initially dropped this series relatively quickly after starting it about a year ago, in large part due to the alpha/omega elements - moreover, supernatural genres have simply never really been my thing in any format. But I circled back to this recently after an unrelated and completely different supernatural leaning series that I had also prematurely written off ended up winning me over. And I must admit, this series is actually quite good! I went from scoffing at the plot to wishing there were more episodes. All this to say, if you’re on the fence about watching for similar reasons, give it a shot anyway because it just might surprise you!

I watched this after starting the Thai adaptation and was pleasantly surprised to find that I liked this version more.

In part, so true, but at the same time they technically don’t need one another to get the job done so there’s definitely an element of human connection associated with the act for them that they miss and thus seeking.

Right, if you’ve essentially become glorified roommates then that “relationship” needs to either be redefined or left behind. Like call it what it is or call it quits.

This series is so unserious… I can only laugh and give the outlandish flare the benefit of the doubt as it was surely intended. still, can’t help but wonder if the original actors for these characters (as seen in the teaser at the end of Cutie Pie) jumped ship on account of its ridiculousness.

the plot hit a wall after episode 7

This didn’t work for me. I’d say it needed a better plot but I’m not even sure it has a plot in its current state. Unfortunate as the leads seem have chemistry.

Finishing this series felt like a chore. It didn’t help that I felt more annoyed by the Korn character than I did sympathetic. Maybe I’ll feel differently after watching The Next Chapter.

22 days later and the Type character has grown on me. There’s something endearing about the actor’s portrayal of him that makes the character too soft for me to hate.
