I have never had any problems with Cha Young Min as KST but that scene was super uncomfortable to watch. I think it was more about how the scene was shot and less about CYM as KST. The whole scene where he's lying and they are talking comes of as something else from what they intended.

Unpopular opinion: I wished for Cha Young Min to wake up by ep 13,14, so that we could get real romance. Now with only 2 episode remaining, they don't even have the time for all the repercussions of him waking up and not remembering anything.

It is entirely skipable if you want. One of the person involved in romantic story line is in coma so it is more of a longing feeling than romance, the female lead is desperately trying to help/cure malelead. The only romantic moments up until now is is either in flashback or when the doctor in coma possesses the other doctor to take care of FL who is trying to help him, so far they have not even
hugged.

No, he's still in comma but there are some improvements in his condition. If i say anymore it will be a major spoiler.

Romance is a minor subplot, but it also depends on personal choice. All i can say is the main subplot is still about conspiracy and whether the doctor can survive or not. This minor romance can easily be skipped but it may lead to Blackmail storyline which can be also said about Bromance also since one of the character is in coma it is more of a longing subplot. Personally i was also turned off by the romance in the beginning but now i like it.
So try to skip it if it is not your cup of tea.

Rain/Cha Young Min (Doctor in Comma) & Uee/Jang Se Jin (Chairmans Daughter & His Ex).
The doctor is in comma so the romance is basically one sided until now albeit from both sides. There are moments when doctor posses the body of Ko Seung Tak but these are basically caring about her nothing more.

There is also hints that Oh Soo Jung might have feelings for Ko Seung Tak.
