I’m SO satisfied with the two latest episodes tonight!!! OMG, they’re finally showing just how smart and brave…
I also love how we’re finally getting to see the princess’s dominance! We’ve already seen the tiger in Yan Shang, but now it’s clear that the princess is still the one in control when it comes to fighting Yu Cheng’an. I absolutely love their dynamic, with the princess being so bold and fearless while Yan Shang is the more patient one who has her back. This couple is going to be an absolute powerhouse in the future! 😭❤️
I’m SO satisfied with the two latest episodes tonight!!! OMG, they’re finally showing just how smart and brave the princess really is!! The tension was also through the roof! I cried during Chunhua’s arc… she’s been through so much. If I were the princess, or even Chunhua herself, the death penalty wouldn’t be enough for those bastards! 😭💔
Wtf is ep12 such a iconic scene reh in novel, just got destroyed a great scene,ml does not accept marry with princess…
I think this scene was originally supposed to happen when Meng Zhaishi asked Wanyao to marry him, while in the drama, the Northern army hasn’t arrived yet. I can understand why they made this change, though, since they probably want to reveal Wanyao’s true character sooner.
You can already see that Yan Shang has acknowledged his feelings for Wanyao, whereas in the novel, it takes him much longer to get to that point. And judging from the previews for the next few episodes, it seems like they’re also planning to reveal Wanyao’s infertility much earlier, even though that takes a long time to unfold in the novel, too.
My guess is that the divorce arc and the time skip will begin around the middle of the drama.
Everyone, please calm down. There’s no need to fight! For those of us who absolutely LOVE this drama, like me, let’s just focus on enjoying it because the episodes are getting better and more exciting with each passing week!!
If you genuinely don’t like it, thank you for giving it a try, but this drama simply isn’t for you, and that’s okay. Feel free to move on. (pls)
For those of us who are still here, though, I think we’d better brace ourselves because things are about to get emotionally and mentally DRAINING. Don’t waste your anger fighting each other here. Save that energy for those barbaric men who think they can just claim the princess as if she were some kind of property. LET’S STAND TOGETHER AND FIGHT FOR THE PRINCESS’S FREEDOM!!! 😭🔥👑
I’m really happy with the direction Yan Shang’s storyline is taking! Even though it seems like it’ll still follow the novel, these new twists give me more motivation to keep watching because now I’m even more curious about what’s going to happen next! 😭❤️
I haven't read the novel so I am really confused about both the ml and fl. I just watched the first episode and…
Hi! If you don’t mind, I’ll try to answer your questions. I just came across an explanation of why the title is *Tigers Sniff the Rose* (with “tigers” being plural, meaning more than one). It’s because both the FL and ML are as fierce as “tigers” yet as gentle as “roses.”
The title reflects how neither of them is simply a black-and-white or green-and-red kind of character. They’re actually very human. A person can be good or bad depending on someone’s perspective and the circumstances they’re in. In this case, I think you could understand them as morally grey characters.
I don’t want to spoil too much, but the FL and ML each have their own goals, and coincidentally, working together makes those goals easier to achieve. As the story progresses, we’ll see how they use each other for their own purposes while gradually growing fond of each other as well.
To answer your question, yes, the princess was previously married. The drama has already established that Yu Cheng’an sent her to North when she was still very young. She has only recently returned to the capital, which is why she wants to challenge the eunuch’s dominance. As for the ML, he clearly wants to avenge his mother’s death by going after her killer, Zhang Ren Jing, as well as Yu Cheng’an, because he understands that power is structural and that, to truly put an end to it, he has to uproot it from its very foundations.
It’s totally okay to feel confused, because the drama deliberately doesn’t delve too deeply into each character’s personality right from the beginning. Its storytelling approach focuses on gradually exploring each character’s strengths, flaws, and development.
All I can say is that this drama has so much potential. The conflicts are layered, and the overall scope of the story is actually much broader and more complex than it might seem at first. That’s why they need 40 episodes to tell the whole story. I hope this helps! ❤️
Can you guys please be a little more patient? It's only been 6 episodes, and they're still young. The princess has just returned after THREE YEARS away, having become a WIDOW in a foreign land. The scholar spent years living in a village and was only exposed to a limited education at the village school. They're both still young, and young people are bound to have some arrogance.
You haven't even been given the princess's full backstory yet (we've only had one flashback so far).
This drama isn't just about romance and politics. The next 40 episodes will explore each character's development. The characters you think are evil now might not turn out to be evil at all, and those you consider good might not remain good forever. Every character will have their own development arc.
The early episodes might feel like they're just laying the groundwork, but that's because this is a long political battle. The drama is trying to show us each character's true personality, motivations, and goals, as well as how they clash with one another in the struggle to determine who will ultimately emerge victorious.
Yes, the imperial family may seem incredibly weak, but isn't that precisely where the conflict lies? This is also consistent with the historical context. In fact, this drama is clearly well-researched and pays great attention to detail, rather than simply trying to cater to the audience's desires.
Guys chill, those of you who don't like yaoyao's attitude are valid because she is MEANT TO BE like that! and if you keep watching you will understand!
