They tend to find comfort in other women because they dont want to face the real problems. It’s hard to see a drama where a guy is being vulnerable and would open up to talk about his problem and find a way to improve the relationship together with their partner. Because most of the dramas with the trope that you mention, i’ve watched but couldnt continue for a lack of emotional intimacy between characters. Or maybe because I’m already old and in my late 20’s.

This drama is seriously for people with high observant skills. Both, my husband and I often rewatched this and we always found new details and expressions. And their acting is seriously top notch like no overacting or like ‘look at me I’m acting’ acting. Ahhh I love introvert couples. Maybe they do gossips together too like us do. We have watched many romance dramas and agreed that this is the ‘GOAT’ for healthy relationships in romance genre. And we like the ending of them staying childless for 5 years because of their busy schedules too. My hubby likes that after the 2nd rejection, they shows a generous amount of male lead regretting or grieving but not in a dramatic ways. Because the male lead already loves the female lead so much, even things that happen in his job can reminds him of her. But he's afraid that he’s being selfish if he pursues her knowing how time demanding his job is. And I love qjj so much because how high her self esteem and self love is. When she first confessed and being rejected she thought yutu is afraid that being with her will disturb his study and thinks there’s nothing wrong with her but still respect the decision and try to improve herself better. I think if yutu and qjj started dating each other during high school, how good will yutu manage to control himself being seduced by qjj charm 😂. Qjj is soooo cute without being annoying. Yutu must would like to tease her everyday to see her reactions. But most importantly we both like their sincerity in love, and they always strive to give 100% to both career and love. And also, there is only one coincidence happen in this drama which yutu accidentally invite qjj to play games together. The rest of the events happen because of long term planning on getting what they want in the relationship. I hope most upcoming dramas will show a balance give and take in relationships. Because both yutu and jingjing found peace and comfort in each other.

Actually, the female is a super busy superstar. There is an episode where he said that she only be in the same city as he is in a total of one month for a year. So it means that they are both a very busy person, but still forgive each other over their hectic schedule because they understand each other’s career. There is an episode where she said she is thankful that she is as busy as he is, because if she’s not, she will resent him too.

Qjj in one of the rare female lead where if someone ask her if she would date herself she would say of course she would. Not because she is vain, because she knows she is human with both flaws and strength but always strives to improve herself. Here is the explanation after I have read the book and watched the drama zillions of times. When qjj first confess to yutu during high school, he sees her as a spoiled rich brat, he remembers her as a naughty student because he saw her being punished for picking flowers at their school. After 10 years, his views on her changed. He sees her as someone that is as hard working as he is when he trained her. Very independent. He is the one that like to spoil her once he confirms his feelings after the Xian trip. She is still the same girl but his views on her changed after spending time and getting to know her. Like how people sometimes can change the first impression. He didnt know that she is more occupied than him because he didnt know she took a break from filming to practice her game skill hence they spend more than a month together for training. He knew after they get together in ep 24. He realised he couldnt be without her when coming back from Xian, but all people around him shows how hard it is to be with the same occupation as he is. So, because he loves her so much that he didnt want her to suffer the same way his colleagues wife experiences. When you love someone so much, it hurts to see them sacrifices to be with you. Their happiness is the most important thing in love.

Their plot progress is more on the script, one thing I dislike about wetv is the low quality translation. It sometimes ruins the immersion of character. From 21st until 30th ep is more on yutu taking intiatives towards jingjing because she has taken 99 steps towards yutu, and yutu only needs to respond to her with one step. But he doesn't. After their love confirmation at school jingjing said she still has some resentment towards yutu (because she always takes initiative and yutu had only initiate once at ktv) And after that is all yutu intiative to mend her heart step by step. To take initiatives and jingjing responds to him. Like seducing her for their first night together. Let her make changes for his house. I mean their home. And she assures him that even tho her ex is financially better than yutu, she confirms that yutu is the best for her. And for last two ep is more about yutu that still persists for the dreams that he once doubts in 1st ep. And the last words about celebration of the rocket launcher and the base is actually a love making innuendo. The translation for wetv is quite general and not detailed. Sometime I doubt that they use mtl. I helped them with certain translation. If you watch thru wetv, some translation might have improved. The script is actually very detailed and connected with every scene. This is one of the best drama without filler scripts. Yamg script shows progressions for each characters. Sometimes I think it is even more subtle than slice of life jdrama and anime. Because in china, there are many detailed explanation video on Yamg for each scenes and scripts, analysing characters and reasons for every actions made. That's why it is one of the best cdrama in china. When I watched thru wetv, I already thought that some non-mandarin speakers might missed or misunderstood a few scenes and dialogues because of their bad translation.

Maybe because this drama is more to slice of life and realistic romanticism. There are rarely big changes happen after their love confession other than their personal and relationship growth. Just like watching an old couple. Warm and relaxing . And their growth is quite subtle. I became their fan after watching this drama. If you like more moving plot, I think flower of evil is great 👍🏻

I think there is no sacrifice, because they know what they want and the pay to get what they want. To love is not to sacrifice but to compromise. For sacrifice it will turn into resentment if not being appreciated. Like yutu's colleague in ep 31-32. Compromise comes with appreciation and forgiveness.

I truly love this story, created an acc to give a review. Yutu & Jingjing relationship is the one that I wish all my friend and family would have, sincere and loving. And it surely would make the world more peaceful from any drama and bad choices in life 😆 They both cherish each other so much. All the couples in this drama have their respective partner welfare in their mind. From the characters, I learn about self worth, trust, compromise between partner, respect, setting boundaries and being passionate about your dream. I think this drama has an upright views/morals for all aspect, whether it is love, work, dream or family.
