Could you believe it that he was way worse in the novel version than the tv version
Yes, if you looked carefully, there were some scenes that were not even, and the voice didn't match the actors' mouth. One of the script writers in charge of Jiwu & Mo NV dialogues went public to the media how mad she was that the work she poured was butchered on screen

Could you believe it that he was way worse in the novel version than the tv version
Yes! I so wanted to see Susu & Si Ying reaction to their connection to their common sister. & the possible romance with her & Jie Ming after knowing the lord she dedicated her whole life used her as tool and his sacrifice changed her.

I was hoping to see their 3rd water festival where he fixed her bun, his other talent which Susu complimented, asking her to make the bracelet that she secretly enchanted with her goddess essence.

If only there was the SE episode what Susu did after the finale where she decided to reign over the Demon Palace as the new empress. The reverse effect of the path flourished the barren abyss & brought back all the dead including Si Ying & Jie Ming & her adopted father.

I love listening to it on the radio drama especially how broken TTJ was after her death. Now I'm waiting patiently for the manhua to reach it
She literally broke his blind perspective on people and the world

Originally, it was licensed into 2 parts. p1: 35 episodes p2: 16-20 episodes. It was supposed to release between February-March, but the OG author was targeted by a malicious fan who filed fake report early in January for plagiarism, claiming TTEOM took the idea from the previous book the author which was ridiculous since she wrote both of them. A week later, the lawsuit was settled, and the slander paid a heavy fine for fabricating the documents. Then in February, one of the special effect crew had covid, postponing the release to April where the new regulations were put into effect immediately instead of 3-month notice

How I wish the demon act was explored better in the drama if it weren't for the new regulations that came out of nowhere unannounced. TTJ was the anti-hero pretending to be the cruel DG after he was forced to become one due to Si Ying demonic pill. LSS had more scenes in the act while TTJ was working BTS with his true plan no one knew until the finale his master entrusted him before his death. He pushed himself to be cruel to her when the demons attacked her but in reality, he was preparing her to be a goddess and looked out for her (he brutally killed a demon concubine for calling her a bitch after SS left).

TTJ in the immortal & the demon act was a bit like how LYX portrayed in the drama, but he still retained some of his violent behaviors and had trouble expressing himself. Unlike the drama, LSS was deeply traumatized from the mortal world that she cultivated the heartless path to forget about him and the pain. TTJ tried his best to make amends for what he had done to her after learning who she was when he tried to take her spiritual body for XW. SS didn't know until much later on that TTJ was completely broken after her "death" and went to the Ruher River to find her not YBC

What made LSS/YXW sacrifice so different for TTJ during the tower sequence was that she never used it against him nor told him why she sacrificed her eye for the artifact. It was the 1st selfless sacrifice he ever experienced and that was what made him regret taking revenge against her even though he still had the evil bones.

Oh...That part, I know now thank you.

The radio drama had scenes not included in the book. I love it added Gouryu final moment was talking with Tantai Jin for the 1st time. She knew he loved LSS and sadly told him the consequences of the choices he made in the future during the marrow transplant.

I've tried it. Not very nice. He's also on the dried beancurd packaging. Hahaha Pytheos tried and said it's good.
I guess you are like the Blaziken in Pokemon Journey where he refused to eat the cookie versions of Torchic

He did defend her in the common talisman chapter. During the acceleration, YBC used the weapon XW threw to purposely harm herself to frame her. TTJ defended her despite he knew her set up.

I'm glad the radio drama depicted much clearer the snake pit torture & the reason. Unlike the novel, Nian Muning gladly took part in the torture venting her anger towards her instead of pitying her & Tantai Jin stayed listening to how she acquired the heart scale and her past. I love that the format added TTJ finally defended XW from YBC spite by telling her to shut up & forbade her to ever mentioning her name before locking her in the dungeon

I love animals & I am proud this drama showed some of the real-life issues of abuse, malnourishment and neglections towards them for money or for sick twisted amusements. From my experience, there's not a lot of hospital dramas especially c-dramas deal with this.

The evil bones have a much more severe effect on his behaviors. His body was unable to do martial arts, prevented him from feeling anything else aside from negative emotions & made him shameless about everything. In the beginning, he cared only about powers, getting back at those who humiliated him, but more importantly, he valued his life above all else.
That all changed when LSS took over YXW body to stop him

His relationship with the 2nd leads is totally different & worse in the OG
XL: hated & envied him for his upbringing that he wanted to kill him despite he never bullied him. He practically glee when that* scene* happened. It was one of the reasons why LSS took a long time to forgive.
YBC: After helping him in the past, he mistaken gratitude he felt as affection. He treated her more favorably after she came under the Xia king order as his reward a few days after her husband died. He repeatedly defended her despite knowing her schemes. It wasn't until the tower sequence he faced the fact that he was actually deeply in love with YXW/LSS. The book didn't show the readers if he learned of her alliance with the enemy to kill XW, but the radio format clarified that he did find out her treacheries, then defended XW for the first time when the B*tch blamed her for ruin everything before he let her rot in the snake pit

He is the villain during the mortal act in the original story
The OG Tantai Jin would never get passed the strict censorship in China. There is the radio format which is faithful to the book & it is the OG author favorite adaptation
