Brilliant series. I love it. I love Joong and Dunk. I love how Fadel is mourning his dead boyfriend. But I don't get one thing: what for are that christian elements in BL series? It's criminal totalitarian ideology which has exterminated LGBT people for centuries so it's like to put hitler's picture, mein kampf and swastika in a jewish series. Disgusting.
I finished it! Ufff... It was a great series until the 11th ep. Unfortunately, it's another series with the same leitmotiv: let's not be together for you to achieve your dreams. Relationship is about give and take: you can't be in one if you can't do either of these. You have to do both. Mhok wanted to sacrifice to be with Day because "A life dedicated to taking the best care of someone is so meaningful". He got it since the beginning, Day didn't get it to the end. It's very dangerous capitalistic thinking: love is not important, you can't have a dream just to be with someone, you have to work, because work makes you human, without work you are nothing. Capitalists and states want you to think that way because they profit from it a lot! You are just gears in their machines. Love isn't profitable for them. End of story. Day, just like many more characters in different such series, wasn't ready to be in a real relationship. They are using big words "forever", "never", "always" and at the end of the day their "forever" lasts few months. Day didn't give a f.. when Mhok told him about his sister's suicide. He didn't even want to visit her grave (I mean before that, when Mhok told him she's dead). Day didn't take care of Mhok. If Mhok died on Hawaii then, I assume, Day would think "I did a good job. I will be miserable for the rest of my life but at least he worked few months/years as a chef in a foreign country". That's the spirit, Day! He didn't even take seriously Mhok's proposition to go with him. There is a polish saying "honesty and hard work make people rich" - this is the capitalists' favorite saying. But not everyone knows that this saying has two different subjects and in full version should go like this: honesty and hard work OF THE POOR make CAPITALISTS rich.
Pathetic... in Poland there is a children poem called Zosia Samosia: she wanted to do all by herself. Pat vel Zosia samosia - mentally unstable child, emotionally underdeveloped with low self-esteem - wants to prove something to the world. That's ok. Let him prove it, but they should let Jeng freed himself from love for this poor kindergartner and find himself an adult which can value him. He is completely unreliable, no material for a life partner. Pat did to Jeng the exact same thing which Put did to him: he wanted to prove sth so he left him just like Put wanted to be famous so he left Pat. But here's the thing: we can do all by ourselves. It's impossible. Life doesn't work like that: everywhere you need the support of sb. This myth "from bootblack to millionaire" is all it ever was - a myth. American dream when hard work and honesty will make you Bill Gates is a dream. It never was anything beyond that. In academic world is exactly the same - you don't get the Nobel Prize because you are you - you get the Nobel Prize because somebody saw you, saw you are good, gave you a chance, lab, money, support, i.e. because somebody believed in you. How the hell Pat had his own house? He bought it with the money saved from mowed the lawns? How did he have a money for starting his own company? He was 25. It was so sad to see how Jeng was trying to excuse Pat. It worries me that this kind of behaviour is presenting as normal for young people. It's very disturbing. It's still the same old problem of many of the Thai series: the world will wait, Jeng will wait until Pat will prove sth. No, the world won't wait. I'm sorry about that. The sooner everyone will understand that the better.
Pedophilia is not normalized in the story - it's depicted as wrong.
You're both wrong (Jared19 and jpny01). You're using words whose meaning you don't understand. Pedophilia (alternatively spelt paedophilia) is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children. Although girls typically begin the process of puberty at age 10 or 11, and boys at age 11 or 12, criteria for pedophilia extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13. High schooler is way over 13. Incest typically includes sexual activity between people in consanguinity (blood relations), and sometimes those related by affinity (marriage or stepfamily), adoption, or lineage. So technically Prab-Chol relationship can be described as incest but what's the point in it? They are strangers which became family in very late age (not 2 or 3), they weren't raised as brothers. Don't look for non-existent troubles.
I finished it! It's the worst BL series I've ever watched (and I've watched almost every Thai, Japan, South Korean, Taiwan, Philippines and Vietnam) BL series ever made. It has worn me out completely. The main couple is perfect for each other:liars, cheaters and manipulators. In short: real life. Everyone were lying to everyone: friends to friends, boyfriends to boyfriends, co-workers to co-workers etc. What are the merits of Nine and Daonuea? They are hot. The end. I felt sorry for no one. Not even for Tee. The worst part in it is that no one seems to care about lies: Boat (who was bribed by Tee and Daonuea) was lying to Tee and what? Tee got mad at him? No. They are fine, "friends" and co-workers. Lies seems to disturbing no one. Heinous series.
After Check out this is another series in which we have liars, cheaters and manipulators. I must say that Check out has worn me out. Maybe that’s why I don’t have any compassion for Mark (among other things because of his hypocrisy) – he was angry that Bar didn’t give him a chance but he did the exact same thing to anyone who approached him. He got what he deserved and it served him right. He had few great guys but he choose the worst one. And that’s his right, of course. As well as it’s my right to feel no compassion for him. I’m sorry for everyone else: Nuea, Krat, even Pack. But that’s good Nuea didn’t get together with Mark – we know that he got someone much better in his part of En of Love.
I've watched all of this and I must say that I hate it. Seeing the victory of this filthy heinous monster (so called (Top's) mother) which was unfortunately succeeded with destroying the life of her son, thanks to ultimate stupidity of Gus, which was like an empty vessel filled with her will, make me sick. I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He (Gus) was incapable of true love which we've seen. He was even incapable of remorse, he didn't even apologized for what he did to Top. Unfortunately, it's the problem with many LGBT - they're so easily to manipulate (Roop Thong, Why R U, Cupid's last wish, Happiness Flies Far Away, Golden Blood, Plus & Minus) that it hurts to watch it. Gus wanted trouble-free fast love and he got it with Win. It shows that he was still an emotional child incapable to have true feeling for anybody. Win wasn't any better which shows his sulkiness about the child at the end. I'm wandering when we see some series which shows true love, in which both sides are willing to fight for it and take the risk which comes with it. Because we must remember - everything comes at the prize.
Long time ago I have watched another series which ends in the death of main hero but I can't remember the title. I remember that there was a guy which made a baby to his wife and he ended up on a wheelchair. Maybe sb would know what the title is?
Mothers (and fathers)... disgusting, filthy, repulsive monsters... I hate them with all my guts. It's very disturbing that everyone let those monsters fool them and even when they know about this they do nothing. When Win's mother said what she did what Win did? He hugged her. He should beat her to a pulp not hug her! Of course I know it's not that kind of series so the least he should do is cut her off of his life. It's very bad example to show this kind of reaction. The same we see in Diary of tootsies. I know that for majority of people it's outrageous what I'm writing but remember this: your monster won't take consequences for your decisions although it was this monster which made you made these decisions. Mothers, as well as families, have one purpose: to destroy their children and turn them into a gears which will fit into totalitarian mechanism called society (and they do everything to achieve this, just like in Roop Thong, Happiness Flies Far Away; there was another series which ends in the death of main hero but I don't remember the title...). And then they'll die (finally but unfortunately too late) and you will stay on this world with all consequences of their bad decisions. Just like in the diary of tootsies. I was so happy when Top said that his monster died. But, as we saw, it was too late to change anything. And no one seems to realize that - monsters are the enemies not the allies. If you think differently that's ok. It's just my private opinion (I'm wandering how long this comment remain here) and I don't want to start a great discussion. I wish there was a serial in which we don't have to have parents blessing. Of course in TharnType and Why R U we finally had the blessing but what if we didn't? That's ok too, we have to learn to cut off family if that family doesn't accept us just like we cut off fake friends. And there should be series which shows this.
This is a very common trope across Asian dramas (I get the feeling you are new to asian dramas and Asian dramas…
I see. I just don't know about that rape case, that's why I don't know what to answer.
I meant that if we, humans, don't experience something on our own then we don't have strong opinions about it. For example what Western people care about Vietnam's war and its consequences? They care about consequences about WWII. I'm trying (I think it's human's nature) to look wider, to be sensitive about all suffering not only my tribe's, to fight with my nature, in a way. And I know history, that's big difference compared to majority of people. History is very important. It helps us to understand the world.

'I don't think they would thank you if labelled them as that, nor they are tagged as that. And technically speaking, they were not.' - you mean mothers?
If you don't have much experience with Christianity it's not surprise that you don't hate it.
No, I'm not going to force you to do anything. But I think that history is very important. But I think this is not the right place for such discussions that's why I'm trying not to write much about it.

Yes. Family is the real b*tch. Emotional terror, you know Cupid's last wish, right? I hate especially mothers.
Ok, I get it. Fully rape scenes. But I still don't know what are you talking about. BL series or porn movies?
Exactly. I hate Christianity (and Islam, nazism and bolshevism/maoism). But that's not for discussion here.
Hehe. I don't share an opinion that history is about remembering dates. It's not. It's about seeing the processes which shape whole cultures, understanding these cultures and people living in it. Political history is boring, but of course we have know some dates and if we heard WWII we should know mid XX century AD not BC.
Probably. I have to deepen my knowledge about Asia, but I don't have time right know, that's why I asked counting that maybe someone will know and tell me.

Hm... maybe it depends indeed... but I would firmly say that beating is worse. Beating is causing mentally and physically damages and ignoring only mentally.
Dukly? What is it?
Yes, but Troy Sivan was also ask about being top or bottom. Besides when you are dating someone (or just hook up) you also ask about that. Well, I have a little different perspective because I'm classicist/historian. I see on whole history of (mostly Christian and I guess Muslim) persecutions of homosexuals. There is not much about that in world historical literature, we just begun to write history of homosexuality. But I recently found an interesting article: The sodom of the north homosexuals were burned at the stake in medieval bruges (type that in Google). read and decide for yourself what is better. Asia, from my knowledge, was not so bad place for LGBT throughout the history. most, if not all, countries which now are decriminalizing homosexuality (like, just few days ago Singapore) are cancelling colonial law not their own. Japan was criminalizing homosexuality for 10 years of occupation by Western countries in XIX century (1882-1892? I don't remember exact dates). That's why I'm so interesting in Asian past and present.

Hehe:)
What does 'and we are with you' mean?
