The biggest problem I don't find the story engaging. I don't find the villagers chasing them exciting, it ruins the mood. The owl looked very fake ( + Big owl is still just an owl! I am not afraid of owls!), the yellow lighting disturbs me, and even the corpses look silly. I know they look silly in other dramas too, but for example that coffin on the tree with the red wax inside. I wasn't scared at all! I was thinking, it looks like red candle wax.

No, I wanted to read the books first, I already started reading the 4th and watched the animated series The Lost Tomb: Qinling Sacred Tree. Your comment implies Palace in the Clouds is worse●﹏●

The quality is worse than the lost tomb or even the other Candle in the Tomb series. I like grave robber dramas, but I can't take this seriously.
