Ep 31 was great, the hospital scene where XQ was trying to resuscitate SY & the scene when she told him that she does not need him to be a hero were heart wrenching. I can completely relate to her projections regarding something bad may happen to your loved ones and she really delivered the agony between this fear and having witnessed the death of her parents. Kuodos to XQ. Their scene at the end of the episode reflect the harsh reality that both of them have to go through day in day out due to their jobs. I love the banters between the JY and his men, JY is such a nice character.

I love Destined. The story is quite good and the cast is excellent. I also like the Youth Memories.

Even though I have not read the novel but i could see that her intentions are not genuine. I understand that she does not have a big role in the novel but I am wondering why we have so much screen time with her. I’d rather watch other storylines than her popping up into wherever MYC appears LOL. Anyway, I hope that MYC could see through her shenanigans.

You could see that she is a gold digger from afar. Oh, the scene in the car when she noticed XQ’s photo with her brother and tried to put her hair down to make her look like XQ is disturbing for me.

She looks like a goldigger to me.

XQ’s mother is a horrible and am surprised that she is still compliant.

I’m also Asian and I am against controlling parents. Every child has their right to decide for themselves either their love life or work.

I used to work for a Japanese company & travelled to Tokyo often for work and my Japanese colleagues told me that after 26 years old, the Japanese women are considered old. My mum got married young & had her first child at 19 old. Being an Asian growing abroad, we see things slightly differently but I still respect & understand our culture.

Thank you 🙏 so much for the explanation. I agree with you that she has way too much screens time. Whilst I dislike the Meng family and thought that they also have too much screens time but I can understand that they are there to show he past, present and the ways in which XQ hesitates with SY is due to their toxic relationship and suppression but Ye Zi popping up in the scenes are a bit too much for me. Anyway, enough of my rant and hope that our main leads have some characters development soon.
