I'm all caught up and looking forward to watching ep 40 and beyond. I have read that the drama will follow the…
Yes, 😭. I was crying my eyes out when I read the novel. The will be a scene in the office where he told her that from now on she will no longer be Mrs Xiao and she does not need to hold that surname in the future. If you want to leave then leave. I would rather keep you forever but I would rather you to be safe and alive. 😢 😢
anyone help point out which episodes did the leads finally get back together like she admit she is HJ and get…
Ep 38 where she admitted that she is Hangjing. Ep 39 where she was forced to go back to the Xiao’s mansion as her cover being Mrs h Shen was blown off as Mu Zi told the Japanese Sato that the head of communist is brother Shen so she was involved as a member.
So another short scene where Beicheng & his men were trapped by Mu Zi Zheng. Fortunately, he redeemed himself by not setting up the explosion which could have killed Beicheng. Beicheng found a dying Mu Zi in a park as he was shot by Sato’s right hand man. Both Sato & his right hand man were shot by Mu Zi. He then told Beicheng that he knew that his end would be like this so please take care of Hanjing. Hanjing ran towards Beicheng & Mu Zi and his last word to Hanjing is I’m sorry. 😢
Please get ready for some heartbreaks with the Xiao family, 😭. Beicheng has just received from the military headquarters that Daddy Xiao & the twins brothers have been assassinated. He was devastated crying, Shawn is such a great actor. Then there will be a scene where he came to see Hanjing, kissing her head crying whilst she was asleep. She then woke up and asked, what is it Beicheng to which he responded oh nothing I just wanted to see you. She then told him, you can hide your emotions to others but please you can cry with me. He then told her that his father & the twins are gone, that will no longer be able to say sorry to his father. Hangjing, told him that I’m sure your father would understand and forgive you. Apologies, my understanding of Chinese may not be correct sometimes so i would welcome any native Chinese speakers to correct me. The actors have delivered such emotional 🥲 scenes.
How daddy xiao and twins brothers get killed ? I thought they are still in US ?
I’m not quite sure in the drama yet but in the novel they died in a plane explosion when they come back from the US. In the drama, daddy Xiao & the twins came back when he’ll broke loose for Beicheng ( Hangjing fake death in the fire).
does he really lose the battle against the south army??
In the novel, Beicheng was seriously wounded and captured by his enemy from the south army. He was then saved & nursed by his enemy’s youngest sister. She was in love with Beicheng but he only loves Hangjing and never took advantage of her. He left her house after his recovery so we were not sure whether he joined Hangjing in the US in the novel.
can you tell me the ep when the so called confession of her identity and hug scene please?
I am Not quite sure whether it is before or after Beicheng’s conversation with Hangjing but the settings looks in the same restaurant. So Maybe et 38??
So I have just seen a short scene of the next episodes where Hanjing shot & killed evil SFL in the head, you go girl. I have missed the scene when the SML’s brother in arms pointed a gun at him. I assume he has just found out that Mu Zi Zheng is a snitch and he is the reason why the Japanese & Kane’s men killed brother Shen (a real patriot. He is a good man not evil as Mu Zi Zheng)??
Like in the novel, aunt Qi committed suicide because Daddy Xiao & the twins brothers are all dead, 😢. Beicheng also took Hanjing to admire the peach blossom in the Xiao’s mansion before he sends her on the boat abroad for her safety. It looks like she will be safe abroad and he will loose the battle against the south army (revolutionaries). Perhaps he will be saved/nursed by the young sister of his enemy??? I hope the writers will give them an happy ending, come on writers.

Ok now, I’ve just seen another scene where brother Shen explains to Beicheng on the circumstances to which the revolutionaries/communists have re recruited/ trained Hanjing to become an agent and show she had to become another person. Beicheng told brother him that he trusted him but now he will no longer have any respect as he remembered the serene when brother Shen came back and Shuyi was all over him if you recall this before Hangjing’s disappearance. Beicheng told brother Shen that the person you have trained is my wife and you put her in a dangerous position and he will not let that happen and that his organisation needs to find someone else. I assume that brother Shen is trying to recruit Beicheng to join them
So I understand that there about 4 scripts writers in this drama and sometimes I feel as if they do not communicate to each other, so frustrating.
Firstly, there will be a scene between Hanjing & Beicheng where Hanjing will finally admit of her real identity. He is happy, hugged her and so on. Then she said to him we can’t go back to where it was but better to go separate ways and hope that he forgets about their past. I have found a whole here 😢. How can a person say such a thing to her husband knowingly that it was not his fault that she lost her baby.??? Though their relationship has started the wrong way but that has developed into love but yet the writers have managed to show as if she has no love for him, really writers???
He was enraged by these hurtful words and then responded violently to her that whether you like it or not you can only be my wife. He also told her so why are you coming back here but yet want to erase our relationship. Here we go again, he goes back to his old self, possessive and so on. Then, can you blame him for saying that to her??
Given that both characters have gone through so much all these past few years, I would have thought that there would be some character’s developments such as calmness, understandings, better communication. Nope, they are stuck in their own former shell behaviour wise.
Another scene at the bridge a reminder of where they had their first date. Beicheng told Hangjing he knew from the start that she was Hangjing upon her return but his loves ones keep telling him that it was not Hangjing. He told Hanjing that he was always wright in his suspicion with regards to her identity and does not know her motives. She then apologised and responded I am not the person you thought I was but yet not clarifications from her of her past and present actions. The writers have not done any justice to her characters here, some kind of beginning towards understanding and forgiveness between the couple perhaps? He then told her, you go and do not appear in front of me gin the future with a quite emotional voice 😭😭. He then told her that he just woke up from a dream. Perhaps, now he realises that Hangjing does not love him??? Hanjing was so shocked with teary eyes and no words from both of them. Miscommunication continues.
Another scene, brother Shen/Hangjing & the child got exposed but the SML to the Japanese/ Commandant Kane’ men, Beicheng saved the day yet again. Hangjing thanked him and he told he he did it for Hanjing his wife and not Shen Hanjing. I could not see that Hanjing looks back at the past and see at present he still cares for her. The writers have not given m her any justice here.
3 phase of the love story between Xiao Bei Chen and Lin Han Jing in this drama:While teenager: (childish and funny)https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1tS4y1h7W9During…
I am also rooting for them to get back together but at this point I am disappointed by the script writers. It pains me to see them suffer especially Beicheng.
Both main male lead and main female lead have their own issue in their marriage life before they got separated…
I agree with you that the ML has contributed to their rift in relationship but what I am complaining is the writers to create such animosity despite Shuyi’s clarification over the miscarriage, brother Shen’s suggestion to rekindle her love. Everyone makes mistakes and it is normal in the couple to grow a bit a part. But why do the writers have to give her the most hurtful words towards him. Now, I understand that she is playing another person but does she shave to ignore aunt Qi who loves her as her own daughter and Beicheng’s dad who protected her whilst her father was imprisoned? I know that she kind of not listened to aunt Qi upon her return but yet I have found the novel much less crual and I was really rooting for the couple to get back together. After having seen the recent previews, I am wondering whether she has ever loved Beicheng even though I do not like his shortcomings?
At this point, I have decided that a sad ending wouldn't be too bad. I really don't care anymore if they're not…
Yes, they have a son after he raped her and then she ran away. When she came back she was kind of keeping an eye on him just because he is the father of child. Hence, she was not as mean to him as in this drama.

Any thoughts on the writing/ plot?
