Life isn't black and white; it's a million shades of grey, even CASES!
A legal drama that would continuously test your morals/ethics. Its makes you debate with yourself. Its more about the grey part rather than the black or white. With great dialogues, unique cases, admiration between leads, learning lessons, the drama would grapple your heart. Its not based on romance, but there are some heart fluttering moments. I consider this the most well written Korean drama in recent times, and best legal drama out there.Was this review helpful to you?
A sweet romance with some twists & action.
The drama is sweet. Has action scenes, really well done. A man with 3 personalities often interlinking with each, all of them whipped for a female general. Has a little fantasy, an evil empress, a little obsessed side male lead, but very less misunderstandings. This drama was really satisfying to watch.Cheng Lei really got great platform to show his acting capability and he aced it. I think this has to be his finest work, the acting range, sudden shift in emotions, action scenes, different personalities was all to the point.
Also is pretty in line with the novel with some additional twists, which doesn't make it problematic. Loved it.

Its entertaining with great visuals!
Firstly, I am glad I watched it till the end, despite the toxic comment section spreading nonsense.Negatives-The writing is bad in major parts. I really don't care about the religious stuff, but despite that the writing sucks in some portions, which is weird because the plot was amazing. The pacing, transitions, could all have been way better. But that's on the makers, writers, directors. Ahn Eun Jin was not utilized to her potential. The climax fight scene could have been better.
Positives- Its entertaining, if you pass through a few first episodes. There is humor, happiness, friendship, love, star crossed lovers, fantasy, mystery. The ost is nice. The visuals, vfx is amazing! I think that was the best part. The leads did well, looked good and had good chemistry. The others in the main cast did amazingly well. Steve Noh, was too good. The supporting cast, village people and their humor was good. I loved the ending. Also special mention for all the children casted- the young girl who played Suzy's childhood, made me fear her when she got angry, the main villain despite being just a child stood in front of experienced actors and gave such a fine display of emotions.
Not the kdrama of the year, but not as bad as the reviews suggests. Watch it and decide for yourself. Particularly loved the fact that Suzy and Kim Woo Bin could reunite for another drama, huhh, missed them so much!

The action scenes are excellent. The aesthetics, costume, scenes were very pretty.
Also has a kind of clingy Side male, wars and palace politics.
Anyone who feels a woman general who doesn't need anyone, fights and defeats everyone throughout and just want to see her journey- This is not for you!
Anyone who wants love support between the leads, few wars, action scenes, a woman general who is determined and can fight her own battles, takes revenge- This is for you.
Novel readers- The drama did some changes, but 270 chapters into 36 episodes, is not a matter of joke. They did well.
Personally, I have never been so much emotionally invested in a drama before this while it was airing. Loved it and its a solid 10/10 as per me.

Pretty moments in between survival!
Typhoon Family is really different. Its based during the IMF crisis of Korea, a regular slice of life! Its about fighting, keep going everyday in life, falling and then again standing! Family, friends, colleagues, bonds are so beautifully portrayed. So many moments just touch your heart! I feel the writing, direction is beautifully done! After watching the end, it feels the drama just showcases a circle of life, situations and moments with it.People who love romance, though its not fully romance based, this drama has plenty of romantic moments. The lead couple are beautiful green flags, always together, have top notch chemistry, support each other, and end up together as well. Actually they give such a married vibe from the very first episode. We also have a cute second leads couple.
Again, the drama is based in 1990s, so you need to understand characters would act according to that situation, though everyone goes through a transition as the episodes further. The family moments are top notch!
Someone who is interested in revenge, or winning almost everything, doing business deals, becoming a chaebol, this isn't it. This is not Itaewon Class! This drama is more about failures, and how people cope up with it, seeing their dreams fail! It brings tears to you. Continuous failures can make you feel that the drama is dragged. But it is not. The drama is about survival, and they survive. Its a happy ending! But the drama is not for everyone!
I personally loved it. After a tiresome week, eating good food while watching the drama gave such a complete feel to me! It made me blush, cry, happy and various other emotions! Do give it a try!
The actors everyone did such a good job! Especially Junho & Minha were fantastic!
I will remember this drama for a very very long time :)
