You just say bullying is not ok but he cannot cry? I have only ever worked in research labs. But I know that sometimes we would run the same simulation hundreds of times which was extremely stressful especially with deadlines involved. And I have cried in front of my supervisor before. No one ever disparaged me for it. In fact they encouraged us to cry it out with them so we could then focus on our work better. Maybe corporate culture is just toxic in general. I'm not saying that jeng is a bad boss or that he is giving bad criticisms. I also think his criticism is valid. Just that you keep saying that pat is overly emotional and i don't think so. I think all of his emotions are pretty valid.

"He was emotional before the sexual harrasment" did you miss the part where he was being constantly bullied in his workplace? Is it only okay to be emotional when it gets to the point of sexual harrasment?
Also being pressured to the point where one feels like they have to come out IS being forced to come out.
The only point I think where he is unprofessional is some of his expressions while being criticised, but some people just have faces like that. Everything else, the slides or putting something on the meeting last minute comes down to the fact that he isn't trained properly. He is a new graduate of course he needs to be trained in these things. That office culture is beyond toxic. I would be crying all the time if I was a part of it. I don't know what office culture you are a part of that you would think crying in an environment like this is not normal
Pat is not cut out for this kind of work. He's been an intern but can't put together a presentation without lots…
He literally got bullied, was forced to come out and got sexually harassed by his colleagues. In episode 1 you can clearly see that he doesn't blow up on his colleagues even though he wanted to. His colleagues are just so toxic. And just to reiterate, he got sexually harassed right before being scolded by his boss. Anyone would cry in that situation. Yes his boss was not the one who harassed or bullied him but it just crossed his line and he couldn't tolerate it anymore. His crying is not overemotional or a tantrum in any way. You must have no empathy if you think that it is.
