Okay so basically Kuomintang is nationalism and CCP communist.
Firstly they collaborated to defeat the japanese, it took 8 years. Then they again fought 8 years against each other, and CCP ended up winning, so they communist gained control of China. That's why todays China is People's Republic of China which is comminust.
So basically it was a war between nationalism and communist, and communist ended up winning.

It is because Kuomintang is a opposition party i Republic of China. If Kuomintang won the war, the production would have been CCP=bad guys.

I personally like it best without any close interaction. And also i like it with the manga, it is a very smart and efficient way to save resources.

Agreed. I didn't watch Romance of Tiger and Rose because i didn't like the leads (Rosy Zhao was one of them), but recently i watched The Long Ballad, and i just can't stop falling for her. You should really try it out, its with Dilraba and Leo as mainleads, but Rosy Zhou really is shinning there.

Agree, i didn't watch tiger and rose beacuse of her naive character and irritating acting, but when i first saw her in TLB , I got to know her from the beginning again. I just love her character, it made me want to search her name.

I have different views. I think her role Leyan in TLB suited her so well. I have never seen such adorable, sincere and kind character, and shes even a princess . Such a good acting. Leyan definitely suited her so well.

yes, exactly! personally i dont want season 2. Most often a season 2 ruins it all, and TLB is just too perfect, i dont want to feel dissapointed if season 2 isn't good

I just love that TLB is not like the other historical dramas that end in a completely open way and season 2 comes in a few years.

I like TLB way more. I actually dropped princess agents. The reasons were firstly the actors, they did not have the strong enough "aura" to play their characters and the main characters had no chemistry at all. There was also too much love or corrected there was too obvious love. Princess agents is going the same direction as TLB, but in a way "failed". TBL the arraged all big and small details so well, both the characters, the plot and the ending.

So many recommendations but not a single one can be compared to TLB.

Yeah so true. I can't even remember which drama made me create an account, but definitely not better than TLB. Im considering creating a new account only for dramas i rate 10/10, i've rated too many undeserving dramas.

The plot was very good. Not too much romance or too much political issues. It was all very evenly distributed. The best thing was the character of the actors. All the characters stick to their own personality throughout, and do not change for other people. Theres only great plot and great acting.
