So he wasn't on the shrine and didn't take pictures? For me he isn't completely innocent, if he was, but I'm from…
That was what the paid marketing account did, made people believe in misinformation, and caused public outrage against him.
He didn’t visit the shrine. He was on the cherry blossom tourist route, which was recommended by the Chinese tourism ministry and Chinese media. The picture that was used to claim that he visited the shrine, in that picture, the building behind was a park management building. Other finding was even scarier…the tour book that recommended Chinese citizens to visit that cherry blossom route was removed off the shelf over night, after it was referenced to prove his innocent. A few that were found had the pages torn out.
His fans and supporters were the ones who found evidence and spoken up inside the wall, and later on provided them to Mr.Li. Mr. Li XueZheng even asked anyone who can bring solid proof will be given a handsome award.
Teddyfoxfluff has been collecting and posting what she found to debunk every misinformation spread about him:
She continues her work on her wordpress page, which was referenced on the article above.
I have also shared a TedEd video about what tactics are used in a misinformation campaign, how difficult it is to clear one’s name. You will find similar tactics used in his case.
Fans from Latin America posted on youtube a recent recording of Zhang Zhehan in an interview, source unknown, unverified. The voice sounds like him, and he is determined to fight for his innocent.
@Tidieu, I know this is your opinion only, but please know that China is different, they have laws that we can't…
Hi Tan, I tried to clarify the misinformation throwing out on this thread about Zhang, on his page here. I did try to ignore all personal comments, but can’t let misinformation about Zhang Zhehan spreading on the page dedicated to him. You are free to report if you wish.
@Tidieu, I know this is your opinion only, but please know that China is different, they have laws that we can't…
Another thing…the organization that boycotted him, China Association of Performing Art (CAPA), was not a government body.
There have been confirmation from government agencies that the government did not ban Zhang Zhehan from performing, because he didn’t commit any crime nor disciplined for any ethical issues.
Official confirmation can be found on teddyfoxfluff’s wordpress page:
@Tidieu, I know this is your opinion only, but please know that China is different, they have laws that we can't…
So you go to Zhang Zhehan’s page and accused Zhang Zhehan of all those bad deeds, and telling people not to believe whatever effort going on to prove his innocent; even he himself has spoken up about following the route that the tour took him in Japan, about all slanders about him was fake.
Folks can judge for themselves, they don’t need to believe me or you.
Details about what was done to frame Zhang Zhehan in Aug 2021:
Lawyers’ discussion about the points that made Zhang Zhehan a victim of one of the most brutal, I would say the most brutal, cyber violence in history:
Bluebirdmuppet’s translation ofChina Youth Daily Article that mentions Zhang Zhehan as a victim of cyber violence on twitter, with the copy of the article:
Short summary: - Zhang Zhehan is innocent, and already reported to Beijing police his defamation case. - There have been voices to support him, admitted his case as a structured and organized cyber violence case. - Cyber violence is being looked at by law makers seriously with suggestions for more severe punishments to initiators, leaders and followers of those cyber violence cases.
@Tidieu, I know this is your opinion only, but please know that China is different, they have laws that we can't…
“ He have hurt his mother land. He have hurt the party.”
I just want to make sure whoever reads this got the right picture….You meant it was made to believe that he did those things.
Whatever he was accused of, It was part of a campaign to take him down, and he already reported his case.
The excerpt above was not written by me. I wish I could be that good in writing. But the writer described what I have seen since 813 exactly. We were told to keep silent. And what good did it do for Zhang Zhehan? He and his mom almost committed suicide to prove their innocent.
Thanks to Mr.Li, who was not afraid to speak up, and started the process. Now Zhang Zhehan’s case is brought to light as a structured and planned campaign to defame him, from his vicious competitor(s).
So, to say stay silent for his sake doesn’t make sense anymore.
But again, it is a matter of opinion. You can keep yours, and I keep mine. And that is ok.
Drama review can be done on each drama page. This page is for the actor Zhang Zhehan, who is buried still at the moment, unjustly.
About teddyfoxfluff, here is the link to her article about “The Social Impact Of Cyber Violence”, gathering her own experience and others from 813 incident., and an excerpt from that article. I’m sure you can relate to what was gathered.
“Closed mic (闭麦) culture The following is my personal opinion only.
I want to talk about one of the most harmful social trends that became prevalent in this fandom, the “closed mic” or 闭麦 culture. Is there anyone in this fandom who has not been urged to silence ourselves, either through public posts or through private messages, in those early days when the incident first broke? These requests were coming from the fan community itself, which was somehow led to believe that speaking out against the misinformation and the cyber violence, no matter how rationally, would somehow cause more harm to Zhang. Many of us didn’t even know if we could express our anguish and ended up bottling up much of our emotions.
The nefarious actors managed to gaslight us into self-censorship. Internationally they even gaslit us into thinking our opinions were invalid because we don’t understand Chinese cultural trauma, despite many of us being of Chinese or other ethnicities with family members who lived through the same trauma. They held Zhang as a hostage to take away our right to our own thoughts and our freedom of speech. What terrible social lesson is this teaching the younger generation? That those who are wronged should stay silent and wait for justice to fall out of the sky? That only through silence can we save ourselves and the ones we care about from further abuse?
Every time I see a young fan, particularly on Chinese platforms, say that they are terrified of speaking up and that they don’t know what to do, I see another young woman being taught silence and acceptance in the face of abuse. This is so utterly wrong! After some time has passed, at least internationally, some of us found our voices again and started speaking up. But those who tried speaking up on Weibo or other Chinese platforms found their voices silenced by the platforms instead. These platforms are contributing to the creation of a new generation of voiceless victims. ”
Reposting…Justice for People posted another article from @/teddyfoxfluff. If you are a fan of ZZH, you may resonate with some of those stories.
“ #ZhangZhehan is the victim but 813 incident harmed also the ones that cared for him and had to watch him being stripped of his life. Many of them suffered from PTSD, some of them are still struggling.
@/teddyfoxfluff gathered personal, often heartbreaking stories and published them on her blog.
Twitter Storm will be brought forward on 13th of March. Don't forget to tune in and voice your support to #ZhangZhehan - the great man but also the victim of severe #CyberBullying campaign.
“ China Youth Daily published an article about combating online violence with indispensable use of legal weapons. This is also probably the first time when official media mentions #ZhangZhehan as the victim of #cyberviolence:
“Male actor Zhang who was subjected to cyber violence and framed by malicious competitors.”
Whoever visits this page, whatever or how much you may read or watch about the case of ZZH, be ALWAYS aware of…
It looks like cyber violence was discussed seriously at the China National People’s Congress. The seriousness of the matter has brought forth discussion about severe punishment to the initiators, leaders and followers of those cyber violence incidents. But that is for the law enforcement to make the judgement.
No but why would they delete the article? Why do they keep deleting materials that are speaking the truth? How…
Blew my mind too that this happened to an article posted on yahoo. Yesterday, I saw it on yahoo Singapore, and UK, and yahoo Finance. My guess is the source was yahoo Singapore, and that was pulled down somehow. 😟
