Review Nevertheless,
yeah it's a good drama if you want EVERY red flag under the sun and you support toxic relationships, the drama was a disgusting piece of trash.

In my opinion, this drama was pure torture. Although I love Hu Yitian, his character Sheng Huainan was damn frustrating.…
Honestly, in the 2019 version he starts off this way as well, but he gets a lot better. if they would've combined the scripts for this one, it would've been a lot better. The male lead was great I've seen him in things before as well. But the script for this was horrible.

watch the first version, he's a bit more likable but not as much at first because of the second female lead Zheng Wenrui. But it gets better. This one sucked if they would've combined the script of the first version and the second version together, it would've been a fantastic drama.

Review Unrequited Love Spoiler
I feel like I can agree with this wholeheartedly. I actually never understood why something's were told differently, there was more heart in the characters in the 2019 version. And seriously I thought the part where (spoiler for those who didn't watch) Zheng Wenrui was about to ""fall off a bridge or an overpass, maybe it was a balcony to prove that she loves him the most. You're glorifying a mental health problem that I've seen many due in my line of work when it goes to the hospital. She had problems, but they really overdramatized her psychiatric issues that mainly had to do with her dad, she just wanted to clutch onto Huinan because she was sick and lonely and her dad wasn't the best, which was disgusting. Honestly to see mental health portrayed like that was one of the reasons I low-key at the end of it felt bad for her, but I still don't think it justified her actions. I honestly like how they gave her more of a story, but yes I don't like loud and obnoxious she was, but honestly her mental state wasn't all their she needed help. But I liked how in 2021 version they gave her story, but also liked the 2019 version where they could've combined it where they gave her back story and then she walked away peacefully after Huinan left with Luo Zhi.

Another thing I agree with is the character portrayal and the script. There was a lot of scenes and episodes where I felt like I was watching a silent film with just the music in the background, which caused me to almost give up on it. What I did like about Luo Zhi in the 2019 version is her old soul spirit, the way she protected others, and the way she called out people when they were in the wrong, she had depth and backbone. What I didn't like about 2021 version agreed she was an airhead. But one mention that I see you didn't point out about the 2019 version of Huinan, maybe you did just not in clear context because you didn't want to give too much away, but was how in the 2019 version he had easily believed Zeng Wenrui's lies about the necklace and this part it was different in the 2021 version which this part made me mad the most about so I can say the explanation with the 2019 version was the way he really tested and hurt Luo Zhi with the Hello Kitty raincoat. You really kept trusting everything that the mentally ill girl was saying that you couldn't trust a better judgement from Luo Zhi and instead had to find out the truth from a little girl with the broken necklace? I'll admit The 2019 Huinan was a jerk compared to the 2021. Yes, he kept going with Zeng Wenrui as well, but he at least ended sooner realizing how psychologically unwell she was.

As for GeBi and Baili and the guy that Baili falls for, yes he was sleezy, but he did winded up changing his mind and genuinely falling for her. At least that's what I saw in the 2019 version. Baili had her first love ripped away from her, because GeBi never wanted her. But at least he regretted that. It takes someone moving on to realize the regrets they made losing someone, but of course with that regret they need to deal with that pain and when they're ready and someone else comes along to cherish them, to love them wholeheartedly.

But yea 2021 I didn't like the character portrayals, they were a lot more childish, immature, and I really didn't want to finish. You extended it to where you made time for the back story of everyone else, which is great but left the male and female leads that we're supposed to care about the most hanging so that those who watch the 2021 version first without watching the first version feeling like they don't know much about their story.

I feel like everything about the character traits in the first version plus the flashbacks of the male and female lead in the first version was put along with the the extended plot of this one it would've been a great drama. This one lacked.

This was well put, well written. There was just some parts I decided to add in great review.

Are you dead serious?? Another version?? Why can't they make one version that is actually complete with proper…
My question is why don't they do like they did with Itazura Na Kiss (Mischievous Kiss) and have other countries do adaptations of it. I'd like to see Thailand or Korea do an adaptation of this.
