I finally finished this masterpiece! I really enjoyed watching the character development for most of the characters…
I sort of had a hard time with Mimi also, she played a bad guy in Princess Agents and because that was my first exposure to her as an actor I didnā€™t like her character. In The Long Ballad I saw her more as a tool to show us how awesome Chang Ge is so I was able to see her as useful in connection to CGā€™s kindness and growth.

Ok. Iā€™ve finally broken down and created an account just to say this show ROCKS. Iā€™ve only been watching Asian dramas for a year but Iā€™ve really immersed myself in them to help me cope with the COVID shutdowns so Iā€™ve seen quite a lot of them. The Long Ballad is my favorite by far. I hadnā€™t ever seen any of the stars before. Other shows that I love and thought acting and chemistry were great cannot compare to these actors and this chemistry. Thank you for your comments and explanations that have helped me better understand and also given me a community of like minded individuals to feel connected with. THE LONG BALLAD FOREVER!
