Hey guys! A quick update. Don't let the current ratings deter you. This is a really really good series — 2 episodes in and I feel like I'm in a different world.

hm there's a whole list of stuff they have plagiarized https://www.douyin.com/video/7110952473136844040https://www.douyin.com/video/7111221283815181604Clearly…
Oh, the almighty China haha. Who knows, my ancestors might be Chinese, right lol?

I like cdramas. I like the chinese culture. I love it in fact, buh stop with the "we are better than the rest narrative" lol

Nothing, but people don't know what they are speaking about. It's impossible to protect ideas of stories. Ask…
Now I understand. You are an entitled old head, buh you are not even that old lol. If it was truly plagiarized, that's for a court to decide. You can throw stones all day and it ain't gonna change a thing

My place lol? One of the oldest civilization? Buh it's not the oldest. And it's not the first civilization. So chill and have a seat lmao.

Lol. I have watched Xianxia series that "borrowed" elements from other cultures — that's not even plagiarism, I have watched Xianxia series that "" borrowed"" elements from other Xianxia genres — which indeed is plagiarism, but I still watch them anyway.

The point isn't whether you are right or not. It's that you are acting as if the chinese haven't produced, or lemme use your words" stolen" ideas from other cultures in their series

So after the bad ratings and harsh comments lol — why are you still hurting lol? You can't change anything, really. Unless you wanna sue them to court. See if you can do that lol. If you did, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't win

So lemme get something straight, the ancient chinese invented fantasy and the Chinese culture is undiluted in all forms, yeah?

I can't believe we'll get to the point of radiating mass hate because a series has SIMILAR elements to our culture.

As far as I know, when we actually talk about plagiarism, no one does it best lol

So, the chinese are the founding fathers of what? Get off your high horse. Every culture has been influenced by another one way or the other. I can't imagine hitting my head on the wall cause an actor in a series uses my native toothbrush. Come on

Thanks, man. I don't understand people nowadays. They just reaching for something that's not there. Or should I say they don't know shit about "plagiarism". Someone was even comparing the poster to princess agents — that's weak asf.
They should say whatever they wanna say —makes me wanna watch it more

Title Royal Feast Spoiler
An epic failure, really. It started out fresh, and this freshness stood at the core of the costumes and aesthetics. There was also a curious spark that kept me going in the early episodes but that didn't come without some pain to survive the really boring scenes. Let's start with the female lead.
Yeah, i wouldn't wear that makeup if i was mourning and i don't even wear makeup. Hell, i am a dude. They somewhat corrected this as the episodes progressed though, buh she's still white as pap.
Now this wasn't a problem, really. I have seen worse.

Now, tell me something, why is a cook dressed like she's going to a wedding party while she's in the kitchen cooKing?! This bothers me, and not just because it's stupid. Back then, people could hide poison in earrings, cooks were required to dress like one, and not just because it's f'ing uncomfortable and sweaty to wear a tree while cutting your onions. Well, it's fiction, I guess?

Moving on, the female lead is so good and kind, it became annoying lol. When she smiles, i see the 7 realms of hell. Like, no offense, i just don't believe her, she kept reminding me she was acting. For the most part, it was cringy

And the chemistry of the leads is zero, well maybe a little above zero. The writer got confused every now and then. And they had little screen time together that i didn't dare expect much.

Yes, she can cook. They can cook. I can cook. Good for her. Again, this could have sweetened the plot but it dragged it on and on and on. Most of the series was about a cook getting in trouble for poisoning the red angel, or having a Buddhist monk in her dish, or cooking shite according to the uhm king, yeah king, i forgot there was one, or the concubine being sassy, or some cliche competition to prepare the less shitty dish, yeah the drama is about food but the story is so bland, it's tastier than ye hua's best dish

And its so predictable and confusing at the same time. The writer didn't know what to really really do with the characters.

And the male lead lol. Well, they say he's special. I say he's good-looking, that's about it. The righteous fool. Half his interactions with his grandfather was reporting someone or something or begging for someone. I was irked at the scene where he ruined dinner because he wanted to be the hero

His father was so annoying when he became king i couldn't hold my rage. People here are saying kings are usually like that, well, well. I don't know about that, buh he's the worst king i have watched on screen. He acted well, the writer just wanted his prince to shine.

And ye hua. Man. I should stop here. I'd rate the plot a 3.5 out of 10. And this is my review, don't throw brooms if you didn't like what i said

It's a good drama to watch if you are bored, but let's be honest. It's just a beautiful nothing. If i was a cook in that kitchen, I'd poison everyone in the Palace, i mean, the king didn't even have a taster, it would be easy as hell lol. Even if i got caught, it would be worth it, and i wouldn't get caught, half of the characters are too stupid to be anything but stupid. I just need to frame someone and the person will be hanged before i wake up the next day
On Sword Snow Stride Dec 25, 2021
Sure, the drama has potential. I'm just not feeling it and I'm at episode 21 already. Most characters had this spark plus they are fairly likeable buh they are poorly written and developed, and it felt like the writer wanted to squeeze the car inside the pocket of the driver. What irks me the most about this drama is the role the male lead plays — A glorified loser. He's smart but not exceptional. He doesn't help out when fight ensues, he just watches his friends/servants risking all they have while he stands with his two blades(which sometimes makes him look off) , useless and comfy in his backseat, and he only fights when there's no other choice and the way he fights? , oh hell, the scholar is a much better warrior! I am still trying to understand what's so special. about him...
