I don't think in the next 3 years since those actors already have roles lined up. Suzy wrapped another Netflix drama and is expected another one for the next year. Lee is currently doing a movie and rumor has it that his next Kdrama will be with that chick from Camilia.
The first episode clip is the last episode's ending (yuh im bored so i had to spoil ya)
I had a lot of trouble watching Ep 1 and Ep 2 because I didn't understand the Korean politics and I didn't know what those people were doing or talking about. It was really hard to get through. But it does get better and I finished the K-Drama. But the 1st two episodes are really really hard for non-Koreans. I'm American, so I had to continue watching based on patience and faith.
I dropped this dram after ep 3 but now during quarintine I decided to watch it and is relly good like it had a…

Basically "it was a misunderstanding".. you are pregnant, but wont even argue, ask..slap or anything you need…
Guido was still playing his woman, man. He published a book and waited a year for AJ's company to find him. Just because. LOL. Was it Love? Nah, man. He's gonna play mind games for the rest of his life. Don't stay with this loser, AJ. LOL
After seeing the comments here I'm so glad I dropped this bomb at ep 6. I hate having regrets, but not this time…
Episodes 1-5 were excellent. You didn't waste your time.
But yeah, the rest sucked. I watched them out of love for AJ but even the last episode made me want to never watch another work by the writer ever again. The actors were great, i'll be happy to watch their future works. But the writing is really problematic and inconsistent.
I'm so glad I didn't watch this week to week cos I would've lost my entire mind. What an absolute waste of time.…
Episode 15 "I promise to be with you till the end" He signed that cute contract to be the husband to the mom "I promise..." "I promise..." "I promise..."
Episode 16: He leaves. Without telling anyone. "I gotta go write alone" "I love so I gotta leave you."
That's basically DO the entire Episode 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7.... etc.
The wedding was cute, but stupid in the whole context of the story. LOL. This K-Drama sucks.
I loved the first 5 episodes and thought AJ is an incredible actress with a confidence that inspires. Her hardships were felt, but she had hopes that her hard work and dedication to her work will pay off. And finally, she has a chance to PRODUCE a movie. That is any one's dream and AJ is in the PRIME of her life to actually make it special. All 4 actors were nice "complications" to her dream but in the first 5 episodes, the story was cute, light, and very enjoyable. We were rooting for all 5 characters (including the little girl) to figure things out.
Then the series took a nosedive with DO being all melancholy and creepy by stalking AJ. We get it, he got hurt and lost his first love. That was then, this is 14 year after and as a successful writer, he can afford to f' around with any female he desires or wants revenge upon. He must've cornered her and whined about why she left him or does she still love him like 10 times in those 3 episodes. Really annoying. Love isn't like that, that's called STALKING and harassment. AJ is working hard. AJ is about to find her calling. AJ is just a girl who wants to commit to her job, at this point. I felt this changed the series from really fun to really uncool.
I'll be the first to say I stuck through this series with little interest. I had to, for AJ's sake. I wanted all the characters to find their way. But DO is a character in Episodes 7-10 who I truly wish he'd stop being so clingy. The final 4 episodes were somewhat fast and resourceful. I enjoyed the Gangster's story arc, the actor's growth into accepting the past as a part of his lost opportunity, and the actress who loved DO, but understood he could never be hers. Love is like that. Was it Love? It was PAST LOVE. Get over it.
I got over this series really quick. I won't rewatch. I'd love to see all the actors do other projects as I became a fan of all of them. Even DO as an actor. They all showed wonderful range and I enjoyed their performance. I just didn't agree with the writing or the direction of DO. So what I'm saying is this KDRAMA had potential to be something fun and wonderful. But the writing made it bad.
I didn't expect the diversity in this drama to be treated seriously in the first place (it just improves parts…
I really wish they stayed grounded at the "pub" level. Maybe a few branches as the end goal. Even then it would be an amazing accomplishment for kids with big dreams, no money, and only street smarts. Kinda like a local burger joint beating McD in the Itaewon area.
Yi Seo is MENSA material but a sociopath is very interesting. She's pretty much one of those Gen Y kids who use social media to make $ while having fun and while the $$$ made is obnoxious and quick, it's not really in the Wall Street level. LOL
I also want to talk about the evil Geun Won. The dude is a prick. We all got it. But it would've been something to see him follow Ro Yi's footsteps as an ex-convict with no money and has earn his pay? Kinda like work at DanBam and earning his way up. Instead, the writers made him pure incompetent villain. I wasn't sure why he didn't kill his little step-bro or go through more rage to kill Ro Yi when he had the chance. So if not a total murderer, why not give him a re-deeming story-arc? In any case, I didn't enjoy the ex-employees of DanBam Pub become managers or directors of a company. LOL. It can happen to certain individuals like Geun Soo, but these other DanBam kids are just happy-go-lucky free-spirits.
Who's the new chef at Soo Ah's tea house in the LAST episode? LOL. So she's gonna loosen up and hook up with a young, none rich boy toy? Even after 20 years, she's still 1 up on Ro Yi. Ro Yi took 10 years to acknowledge his younger gal, while it only took her 10 minutes to hire and have a little fun with her younger guy.
I really enjoyed this review. I honestly cheated and read this review before starting the drama. The first Episode hooked me. The 2nd and 3rd I thought were very well done. I started really enjoying the drama by the 5th episode. I finished this drama and re-read this review. This review is definitely fair and well-written. I agree with most of it, but I was still watching till the end. I knew it was slower and the "revenge" was kinda weighing the entire series down. But I enjoyed this without feeling it was a chore to finish. Yeah, I wouldn't watch this again, and I'm sure most people would give it an 8/10 which is still good but I agree most of the highlights are in the first 5 episodes. The way the characters got together was awesome and truly a joy to watch.
Yeah, the writer goes on my blacklist as well. Totally terrible writing.
The actors I'll watch. They're great and I enjoyed their performance.
