I've watched dramas where an idol falls for a fangirl or a normal girl and then sacrifices his career for her. This is why many delusional fans start dreaming that it'll happen to them as well. Then they see their favourite idol actually has a life and these girls think he has commited a crime.
Such articles do no favour by saying it's a scandal. Even if it is a translation from some Korean gossip site, MDL should have applied some common sense.
