Exactly. It's not like this show is suddenly going to cause south Koreans to turn into rebels or protesters nor is it going to turn the current government into an authoritarian state. However can you imagine what's going to happen to all those staffs who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes? I'm not talking about the actors and director,,im talking about the extras, the staff doing the lighting works and stuffs, those on the ground staffs.who's going to pay them ? How are they going to support their family for the next few months with covid ranging ? Did all these "heroes wannabees" and "champion of the truth" actually thought about this ? Some people are just trying to survive. Don't even start with the " oh they shouldn't have joined the drama In the first place" crap. You think those support staff knows so much about history and the background of the Drama? I dare bet plenty of south Koreans don't even know the history of their own country to the fullest, just like citizens of other countries.

Like I said, I'm not going to judge the protesters or the Korean government after watching snowdrop, just like I did not became a fan of Hitler overnight after watching Jojo rabbit. Just let people watch what they want and make their own choices and conclusions. Nobody should go around telling others what dramas/movies they should or should not watch.

So if I happen to watch a drama featuring a particular band member and I enjoy it, I automatically become their fan ? I think you should direct the word dumb and ignorant back to yourself. I've watched the first two episodes and I think it's pretty decent but I don't even know all of blackpink's member's names. In fact I only know there's a Lisa and this is the first time I've heard the name Jisoo. Way to show your stupidity by generalising yeah.

No offence but your first point makes no sense. I've watched Jojo rabbit. In Jojo rabbit, Hitler was portrayed as the imaginary best friend of the main character, a little boy and he's perceived to be a fun and friendly person. So does that mean I must now be influenced by the Hitler in Jojo rabbit and that I must either "love him since he's such a fun person" or "hate him coz they totally changed his character" otherwise I'm not human ? Lol??? Like really ? Who are you to tell me how I should feel about a character or a show ? Who are you to judge how I view a movie ? Are you that morally upright that you can start judging me ? Have you never sinned in your life that you have the right to judge how I view a film or a movie ? Lol . Not to mention I know for a fact Jojo rabbit is fictional and I'm not going to suddenly start worshipping Hitler just because he's portrayed as a nice guy in Jojo rabbit. He is and still remains an evil dictator. Lol. If you can't separate reality from fiction, then you should just avoid watching these types of shows and movies. However please don't come here trying to tell me what I should or should not watch because like I said, it's none of your business, or anyone else for that matter. If you even so much as attempt to do so, you are no different from those dictators that you so strongly condemn. By the way, let me give you an example of how different people view things differently. To a lot of people, joker in Batman , the dark knight movie represents absolute evil. To a lot of people, he is mad and whatever his reasoning or whatever he says makes no sense and cannot be justified whatsoever. I however, thinks that there are actually some stuffs he said which are absolutely true. For example, joker mentioned that human's are inherently selfish. They worship you when you are helping them but the moment they feel you are even slightly different from them (this can be either physically or in other ways), they will turn against you. This is absolutely true. Even a pastor friend of mine who is a staunch Christian agreed with me that Joker made absolute sense in that regard. So does that mean I am suddenly someone who worships Joker and the film has suddenly turned me into an evil person and thus has to be banned ? Of course not. However , other people may not agree with how I view joker's words. Nothing wrong with that.

Funny thing is here I thought only my sad and pitiful south east Asia country which is hell bent on screwing democracy and freedom of speech.i always had the impression that citizens of a developed country like South Korea will actually uphold freedom of speech and will be matured enough to watch and understand a show before judging it. However, in light of recent events (the poor treatment of women in general, as can be seen in the jung Joon young and burning sun scandal), the numerous bullying scandals as well as the poor treatment of female celebrities (getting cancelled whilst their male counterpart walks free), it's really starting to leave a very bad impression of the country to me. Worse part is a lot of these bad impressions are actually coming from all these "critics" who are hell bent on getting a show to be axed purely based on hearsay and one sided views more than anything else, rather than from these "controversial" dramas.

In fact after watching the first two episodes, I'm now pretty certain some of the people who run around with their petitions asking for the show to be banned have actually never watched the show. Not once did I feel that the show is glorifying the government. In fact it's the total opposite. The government is being Portrayed as conspiring with the north just to win elections, torturing detainees, abusing their power by barging into a female dorm with no warrant, oogling at female students, fanatics who even drink their own blood just to show loyalty to their leaders. How are these "glorifying the government" of the time ? In fact I get the total opposite impression of the government of the time . To me they are cruel and authoritarian. At this point I'm pretty certain all these "critics" who claim that they are trying to get the drama banned because it portrays inaccuracies in the true history of the said period of time is just trying to gain cheap mileage. It's not about the truth, really. It's about publicity and that's all there is to it.

I've absolutely no idea what you are talking about but like I said, don't like it, don't watch it. However you have absolutely no right to determine what I should and can watch, or anyone else for that matter. Frankly put, it's none of your business. Sorry if I'm harsh but that's the truth.

If you don't like it, don't watch it. If you don't want your friends to get the wrong impression of Korean history, then you are at liberty to inform or caution them that they shouldn't watch it but to ask for it to be banned ? That's just silly. This is not a show where the actors are really tortured during the making. That kind of shows should absolutely be banned. This is like asking the dark knight to be banned because it glorifies joker. Heck I even watched the japanese sp drama air girl and even the movie the great war of Archimedes even though the japanese tortured and killed my kind during the war. I totally disagree with the story in air girl to a certain extent because it does glorifies the japanese imperial army during WW2 but to call for it to be banned ? You should be thanking this drama for bringing to light Korean History (distorted or not). Heck if it's not because of this drama, I wouldn't even have known about all these "history". Yeah it may be distorted but everyone's free to tell the public the real truth through criticisms. You know what's the funniest part, I bet some of the very vocal opponents of this drama who are asking for it to be dropped / banned are probably the very same people who would criticise the North Korean regime and china as dictators who doesn't respect freedom of speech because they ban anything that goes against their belief and practically brainwash their citizens to believe in what the regime wants them to believe. What's the difference between you people asking for this show to be banned with those dictatorship regime? You are more similar to them than you think. Sorry if you people get offended by the truth but it's the truth nonetheless.last but not least, judging a show after 2 episodes? Really ? By the way I'm not even a blackpink fan. I've never even heard of their music. Im actually watching this show because yoo In na is in it just in case someone starts labelling me as a blackpink fan. It's a fiction, people. Fiction.

You do know awards are subjective right ? Your so-called "important" awards are decided by only a very handful and select group of "critics". It doesn't equate to quality at the end of the day. So which movie has more quality? One that has won an academy award or one that has won a golden globe? Or one that has won a film festival? On the contrary, highest grossing is something that a majority of audiences around the whole enjoy, hence how it managed to be top grossing in the first place. In fact any filmmaker would rather have their film be top grossing than for them to win an award simply because money talks at the end of the day, like it or not. It's pure ignorance to assume that just because a movie has won an award, it is automatically rated "better" than one that has not. just because a person is a popular film critic, it does not automatically mean his opinion has more weight than 10 other non-critic. That again is pure ignorance and prejudicial thinking. Btw, there's no "classically accepted definition of a ghost " lol. A ghost can be visible or Invisible, powerful or weak, scary or not, ugly or not lol. There's literally no real accepted definition for them. You are literally just making stuffs up to support your point. Lol. Again you either failed to appreciate the drama or totally missed out the point where it was explained that the whole zombie fiasco was caused by an unnamed virus which originated from the next pill which in turn causes a person to turn into zombie once it reaches the brain. Hence your argument that it "stupidly turns a person into a ghost from a bite " s totally off tangent. lol. At this point I'm pretty convinced I'm wasting my time with you since you obviously either did not pay attention to the show or are just criticising for the sake of criticising. By the way, even train to Busan, a critically acclaimed zombie movie (94% on rotten tomatoes by critics) does not properly explain the origin of the zombies any better than happiness other than to imply that it was due to a scientific experiment gone wrong (nothing was mentioned about what sort of scientific experiment it was or what was the actual cause of the zombification). In fact I prefer that they have not gone too deep into the explanations because otherwise it might take another 10 or 20 episodes just for them to find out the origins, researching the cure, explaining it to the public, etc which will almost certainly turn the show into something like a documentary which in turn will dilute it's overall entertainment value. Sometimes more does not necessarily mean better. Anyway Not gonna waste my time anymore. I'm out.

I've edited my comments removing the name calling. I apologize for that coz yes it's uncalled for . But Hello the drama is a fantasy? Fantasy means stuff that's doesn't exist in real life. If it can be explained using real life scientific explanation then it's not longer called a fantasy. Just like there's no explanation how ghosts can be invisible, that doesn't suddenly make a ghost movie become ridiculous, cheap or unwatchable. According to your logic, movies like avengers become unwatchable or ridiculous because there's literally no explanation for the existence of the Infinity stones other than the fact that they just suddenly appeared in the universe. guess what?it's still the highest grossing movie of all time . Lol. Funny

Yeah the acting is just top notch. At one point I was kinda upset with kayo when she actually asked the wife not to *attack* him if she sees him. I mean the guy did killed her husband. Then again kayo has to protect her subject to a certain extent so that's really just overall good acting from everyone involved.

In any event, bacterias such as anthrax can even exist in powder form so it's nothing surprising if this bacteria was kept in the pill / capsule.

The origin was explained right at the beginning of episode 6. The virus was caused by the NEXT pill which in turn was manufactured by the company owned by tae seok's boss, the rich guy who was chained in his room. I thought anyone who watched the show would have known it.

I rewatched the scene. I don't think it's the brother's daughter. The girl's mother has a different hair colour compared to the brother's wife. I think he does have some sort of mental disorder though. Gonna be interesting. I like how she's now good friends with Midori.
