This is going to be LONG! Kim You Jung HAS to get an award for this performance. HAS TO! The last two episodes…
HAHA I love this. You know how in monster movies, the theme is always "humans can be the worst monsters of all". Well I think Junseo here became one of those monsters, and for me, worse than Ah Jin who objectively has "done worse things". But Ah Jin had her life on the line so many times and just wanted to live her life in peace, while Junseo lost his humanity and tried to end both their lives out of his own guilt. I can't believe Ah Jin never had a break...
Why do people forget that Junseo also lived through the same traumatic childhood as Ahjin? He was her first victim…
I don't blame him, and I agree that we saw him struggle to grapple with his actions. But the ending ruined all the potential for growth, and instead, its just another tragic man in Ah Jin's life.
He definitely didn't live through the SAME trauma as Ah Jin lol. And after he grew up, we saw he had all the resources to do basically whatever he wanted (since he successfully used Ah Jin's story for his career.....). And no matter someone's past, they are still responsible for their actions. Not every person in his shoes would do what he did, and unlike Ah Jin, who always had her life on the line, Junseo wasn't forced or threatened to do what he did.
But even when Ah Jin did her best to untangle from Junseo, he still tried to actively and voluntarily end both of their lives...Ah Jin never chose m*rder as her first option, its actually her last resort.
I don't think anyone is "Fundamentally a good person", and someone being so pitiful living a sad life definitely doesn't make them any better of a person.
I just don't think Junseo had any sort of growth or redemption, but actually a spiral worse than Ah Jin
Why did every male character feel like a caricature and so one dimensional instead of humans with complex emotions…
^Which is TOXIC but in the end no matter what happened in your past, you alone are responsible for your life so maybe the lesson here is just to go make some friends
Why did every male character feel like a caricature and so one dimensional instead of humans with complex emotions LOL I mean it made rooting for Ah Jin a lot easier since none of the men even had anything they cared about aside from her
People saying the FL was trapped in her victim complex, but why did none of the men have any self respect...its not like Ah Jin ever threatened or harmed or abused them, they internalized her trauma and threw away their lives
Yeah that's pure fiction, I dislike how they made plot with grandma because that is not how sociopathic person…
I think those are definitely real tears - maybe not for the grandma specifically but more for herself. How she could've have experienced more of those genuine moments of love and for this version of herself she wanted to be, if her life wasnt so miserable.
So in that way a sociopath can definitely cry out of self-pity or even frustration/anger after seeing for the first time how much love she's missed out on
That's probably also why she said she's never hated her ex-stepmom more in that moment...the anger/self-pity/desperation I think is really good writing, not fiction
? How can you expect her to even know what remorse is since her whole life no ones shown her what it looks like...and…
Yessss from what she's experienced from the world, everything she's doing is justified and probably necessary. Obviously if she had grown up with someone like the grandma, she would be one of the kindest people in the show! But even in this case we saw she can be nice and understanding if no one's hurt her
The plot stays engaging and all the actors are doing a wonderful job. I think it´s great to see KYD finally get…
Idk...I feel like after everything that happened, LeNa hasnt shown any humility or taken responsibility so idk how she could be more redeemable than Ah Jin, who was born incapable of empathy lol. Is LeNa's empathy in the room with us TT
Whoever the writer is really understands a sociopath's motivations...given everything that's happened I feel like Ah Jin's trying her best to be fair and justified
Be for real. After she manipulated her way into his life and made him believe she was so in love with him and…
Well, she tried many times saying it in different tones, but obviously the simple "Let's end things" was never gonna work no matter how many times she says it.
From the first scene, we see In Gang couldn't end his last relationship cleanly, and since he obviously is putting Ah Jin on this pedestal of being responsible for his future and being the love of his life, there's no way a breakup would be possible unless she was absolutely irredeemable in his eyes. It's nobody's fault that he felt so helpless and lacked a support group, but from Ah Jin's perspective, she needed a fast and clean break.
If she wasn't a sociopath that lacked empathy and guilt, maybe we can judge her for being too harsh. But however In Gang chose to react is not Ah Jin's responsibility. His struggles with mental health or coping mechanisms cannot be blamed on Ah Jin!
This doesn't justify her actions lol not every girl that doesn't want to get married acts that crazy towards their…
I think she knew the only way to get a clean break was for him to think she is irredemable, since there's no way he would just give up and accept the breakup after over a year of "living his dreams". She did go back and comfort him in her own way, so I don't think what she did was "evil"...just brutal lol
Baek Ah Jin is a demon. No, she’s the devil incarnate—she destroys an innocent family in a single episode,…
? How can you expect her to even know what remorse is since her whole life no ones shown her what it looks like...and besides being a sociopath means emotions like empathy, guilt, and remorse have to be taught since they cannot feel those. I lowkey think she's trying pretty hard to be a "good person" from her perspective.
He definitely didn't live through the SAME trauma as Ah Jin lol.
