As I explained before, Xiao Qing hadn't cultivated for as long as the white snake did and didn't have enough power to give the guy she liked her demon pill to alleviate the poison. Xiao Qing also can't get together with the monk guy cuz he's a monk. He's supposed to be celibate for the rest of his life. Xiao Qing's "happy ending" was the release of the white snake, the big sister she looked up to since the beginning of the drama. Plus, it was made clear that the white snake was fated to be with her husband, according to the goddess she prayed to and follows, called "Guanyin." You could also see all the hardships that the white snake suffered in order to be with her husband.

I think Naho got F partly because of pronunciation but also because she didn't dance or have her own style. I believe Ella was the one who mentioned how Naho sang in the typical Japanese style, which is true. You also have to understand that we may not have heard what the mentors were hearing and seeing because of the way the editors cut the scene and showed it from multiple angles. I feel like some of the music has been prerecorded to act as background vocals or something because you don't really hear many of the trainee's breathing wrong or making mistakes as they sing. I'm only speaking from what I've seen in her pre-evaluation though.

I think they did do the theme song directly before the group battles and just edited the scenes to make it seem like they did group battles first.

I think part of the reason a lot of the more talented girls aren't getting the attention they deserve is also because Youth With You's editors seem to really favor Esther. She's almost always shown in cut scenes to the audience's reactions to shows and also shown reacting to other stuff. A lot of talented girls barely had any scenes sighs

But she didn't tell Jony J to move tho... Ella jokingly asked if Esther wanted to sit next to Lisa and Esther looked hopeful and was like can I really? She never told Jony J to move and also apologized to him for making him feel uncomfortable.

Lin Si Yi

I was fine with most of the drama mainly because I'm a fan of Ju Jingyi. She acted as the White Snake that's lived for over a millennium and she does a really good job pulling off the soft and elegant look, which is crucial to her role. She gives off nice big sister vibes despite how small and cute she is. I was impressed with her other work as well in Legend of Yunxi as this really sweet and bubbly consort and also as a villain in Novoland: Castle in the Sky, so I was looking forward to her acting as the white snake.

I think a lot of people were not happy with the actors because they might have seemed too stiff and expressionless throughout the drama. But I personally think it's because of the script. The male lead is supposed to be kind of meek and shy, which I find cute.

The Legend of the White Snake has been adapted and rehashed many times. I believe the original story is very old and sad, which might be why they attached a tragedy tag. I have to say that this story has a really annoying side character who keeps getting in the way and comes up with all sorts of evil schemes that are just way over the line. That might be another reason some people might've disliked the show. The side character was just extremely annoying and unreasonable. I'm honestly not sure how to feel about what happened to them.

The ending is happy, I guess. But it was somewhat of a let down for me considering how much time I spent on the drama. The last two episodes felt so rushed like the writers just wanted to get the story over with and crammed a bunch of stuff together to end it. Everything just happened all at once. And the ending just didn't have as much of an impact because so many things didn't make sense to me. If you decide(d) to watch it, you will/would understand what I mean.

Unfortunately, no. I forgot who Mu Wang is, but if it's the monk, then their relationship wasn't possible to begin with since he's a monk and she's half demon and half celestial being. If it's the other guy she fell in love with, she couldn't be with him because she's half demon. I believe the white snake explained that when demons and mortals fall in love with each other, the mortal gets poisoned by "love poison" or something. There is no cure, so the mortal would die. That's why the mortal guy collapsed. In order to "cure" the mortal, she had to make him drink this water that will make him forget all about her. Xiao Qing decided to remember him, rather than forget him, so she didn't drink the water. I'm pretty sure the mortal married another girl instead.

I don't think there is an iTunes link for the cdrama but if you want to know the songs, you can probably search "Legend of the White Snake OST." The female lead, Ju Jingyi, sang a few of the songs.
