That sounds like one heck of a book! If the director is able to play all that CSS thought processes out to clarify things for us and herself that would be the best! But there’s so little time!! However so far he’s been doing a good job digging into CSS’s brain with the help of the Empress , QQ, YY, etc. If only there is a Part 3 that focuses on this reconciliation and healing processes of the leads. This is one show where slow pacing is forgivable and even desirable!
Btw, why was CSS angry when she overheard that LBY didn’t want her to go with him on exile? Surely she wldve known he had her best interest at heart. It’s not a trust issue anymore, his crime is too serious. Itd be selfish of him to want her with him on exile. I spotted in Ep 49 trailer LBY telling her (I hope it is her) that he had no choice to execute his revenge b4 the wedding becoz to do so after would implicate CSS and her family. That’s so true! So him rejecting her company for the exile is consistent and therefore shd be forgivable.
Btw also, at any point of time did CSS ever think LJT and LBY are together? If she did then she really doesn’t understand her man.
I’ve read about production companies increasing the number of episodes for some very popular dramas. Is that possible for LLTG you think? Maybe they have a lot of spare footages they can edit into the later episodes? Or or or create an epilogue maybe?! Possible??

Yue Fei really knows how to respond with spot on, hit the nail on the head kind of precision whether it be to step on the old RY lady, lovingly chide the Emperor or to console the Empress. 👏🏼👏🏼
That part where LBY suddenly pinched CSS’s cheeks was really quite unexpected and funny. 😆 She was telling him about her horrific encounter and hardships, he shdve been clutching his heart in pain with tears welling in his eyes. I guess he couldn’t resist pinching that cute milk pudding face of hers. It was satisfying to watch. 😆😆
I was so so relieved that LBY finds CSS so soon! But at the same time felt that the whole part was a bit rushed… maybe it’s the editing?
At the end of Ep43 you see LBY and his army rushing to the next location to save CSS. But at the start of Ep 44 LBY’s all cleaned up and groomed and having a chat with Benny. I much prefer they switch the sequence a bit and show LBY and army heading to the gallows and finding CSS first. Perhaps following a tip off that CSS has been imprisoned, reaching in time to help put out the fire and save CSS. Because what we have now is a strange situation where like 8 pp burnt to death in prison and yet CSS is lying nearby in the same prison kind of unscathed.
Can someone please explain to me in Ep43, after the squabble over duck or chicken wing (I thought that was a little overdone today I’m afraid) why did the captured unyielding and fearless soldier who had refused to even divulge info about his army camp to LBY, suddenly agree to smuggle LBY into his camp?? When the enemy soldiers were checking the haystack where LBY was hiding that soldier even tried to protect LBY! I’m confused.
No I’ve not. But I’ve been recommended to watch it by many here.However I intend to heed @insideout91’S advice to not watch it too soon after LLTG lest I get confused coz both ZLS and WL are in it but not a pair! Thanks for your explanation regardless.
