AJie is my favorite VA by far. The romantic SiFeng, the protective and reliable Bai Qi (Gavin), the domineering Lu Yi and DouLang. Although, whenever I think of AJie I would think of Bai Qi. His Bai Qi is the only one for me. All the other versions especially the english version can't compare

Say that in his other dramas bc this drama, he's supposed to be thin and at the beginning he's supposed to be malnurished. In China, we praise the actors who's willing to make changes to fit the role. Like the Japanese actor for kuKai in Cat Demon? We praise him bc he showed up BALD to get the direcyor's approval and prove he's not just a pretty face. Zhou DongYu and QianXi is praise bc they're willing to shave their hair, especially since DongYu is a girl.

So LYF who's not willing to give up his muscles and body fat to play Su Mo in my eyes is very unprofessional. Bc broad shoulders and a fit body is just not him. For Chinese, we find it especially important that the actor have to LOOK LIKE THE CHARACTER bc thats their job. Not the character look like the actor, it should be the other way around
