But in the second one, hes actually more on the serious side and more gloomy bc of his situation and also very cold compared to drama YunShen. Hes also a bit cynical, too. And he hates his mom

Its honestly both. The huge change in script rlly messed up a lot of characters. Like Leo's mom doesn't exist, YunShen's mom is now the second wife (when shes the one that got cheated on), YunShen has a different personality, Ji SiLang's conplete change of personality and family background, Leo actually plays more of Chen Le's role in the novel and Leo is actually YunShen's family doctor, ZhiZhi actually wanted to be a nurse after YunShen became an amputee

Hes actually more close to YunShen in the drama. Hes a well loved and cared after child of a rich family, so he grew up bright and talkative and positive. YunShen's personality is actually different from the novel
