Great post. I totally feel you on Sato Takeru. Seeing him as Tendo-sensei, I'd argue is even better then the manga version of Tendo-sensei. He's too good. (It almost sucks that that was my first show featuring him, because not enough shoujo/stoic characters covered by him. We need more romances!) His stunts are mad impressive too! Working my way through Rurouni Kenshin series and he looks like *from my amateur eyes* like he's been practicing his entire life. Down to his breathing and pauses as he draws his sword--it's so natural. And he can play so many other characters like a breeze. Closest thing to resolve my Tendo-sensei drought is watching his vlogs in real life, but man--- that make Sato Takeru is too precious (and talented!) Anyways, fangirling aside...I'll note the other recommendations as well~ Thanks!
I'm impressed Kaoru didn't get any more injured, but plot armor ftw.
Not going to lie, the plot dragged on a little but overall it's a very good adaption. The acting and also intense fighting was incredible. Props to the actors who did the stunts themselves. And it was cut beautifully too (although--one random harsh cut was in the beginning when they left the theatre----just me?? There was no transition whatsoever, although I guess it was just the necessary flag to show the metaphor for Battosei's evil twin.)
Does the younger apprentice make it out blood-free?
I had my gripes, but I really can't complain. Acting and everything (also the post production) was spot on. Was worried for Sato and the scream kid's vocal cords, but otherwise... great movie.
Really amazing direction, and probably the best casted series I've ever seen. Props to the director and staff who really put a magic touch to this. I'm also impressed at how many scenes Sato(and everyone) worked on. The effort paid off.

Am I the only one who doesn't mind how it strays from the webtoons? Don't get me wrong, the webtoon material is better and also the seyeon arc is starting to drag a bit, but it's also buildup for character background/development with the story. Maybe it's just because I enjoy all the actors -- their chemistry is pretty great. P.S. I am however not looking forward to Soojin's arc. (Like yes, but oh god no... Let's stay our happy trifecta) P.P.S. I haven't caught up completely with the webtoon, but is it just me or the author started to draw Suho's character a bit differently after about chapter 72. Like, yes Eunwoo fits Suho's character great-- but I sometimes wonder if the intentional design change was because the author envisioned (or knew?) Eunwoo would play him. (If I remember correctly, someone once said it was based off an exo fanfiction/spinoff of Suho? In the early chapters his character art resembled Exo's Suho more then it does now. Also ya know-- ST ENT. Idk, just me?)
I think the actress is really good! I'm so shocked at the comments about her acting. Wasn't expecting that. I…
Love her so much. She's really able to express such a diverse amount of expression, also her personality in real life is equally great. I really recommend Bride of Haebaek next. I'm glad she's well received.
Eunwoo is a terrible actor... he’s really pretty tho lol
I think the character he played really matches his personality. He kind of slipped out into a deep voice every onces in awhile, but otherwise I really enjoyed his acting. I think if you watch it all the way through you can see pretty visible improvement (especially after the arc where they return from the the plagued island; it really felt like the character became his rather than him playing a character). It's definitely not his main talent, but I don't think it's terrible or takes away from enjoying the drama at all.
Can someone just explain me the ugly look of the female lead? It's annoying to watch. Oh wear big glasses and…
So I was wondering... in the webtoons she's known to shave off her thick eyebrows-- but in the drama do you think her mom's the reason for her obnoxious eyebrows? It's the fashion trend for her clients, and also her mom has "normal" eyebrows. Maybe it was all an attempt to ask her mom to make her pretty.
I must have missed the A-Teen reference, what was it??
It's all a huge pun I think because Seventeen produced the track for A-Teen. Also, in episode 5 they also make an MNET Countdown reference for Eighteen (i.e. A-Teen!) Like easter eggs everywhere!
Didn't expect Kang Min Ah in this film, she was one of my fav rookie actresses. Brownie points for her referencing A-teen. Somehow her character is exactly the same. Hwang In Yeop surprising me with his acting as well; all in all I'm surprised that it's living up to the webtoons and more. Chemistry between everyone is great.

Love to see potential tsundere Megumi.
