Yeah this person is wrong. The Japanese version is better in so many ways especially acting, chemistry, and pacing.

There was no cheating.
Yes, after that was discovered sure she owned him nothing. But she was doing stuff with him way before she knew anything bad about her husband. And that was just not fun to watch. Why would I want to watch some girl choose to cheat on her wheelchair disabled husband risk ruining her son's life when in her eyes he was nothing but sweet and loving to her. If she had only started doing things outside her marriage after she learned about how deplorable her husband was that would have been more than okay, but she didn't. She did things when all she knew about him was that he was a great husband and father and I'm not down for that.
